Installing and Configuring <strong>OS</strong>-9®<br />
Requirements and Compatibility<br />
Note<br />
Be<strong>for</strong>e you begin, install <strong>the</strong> Microware <strong>OS</strong>-9 <strong>for</strong> ARM CD-ROM on<br />
your host PC.<br />
Host Hardware Requirements (PC Compatible)<br />
Your host PC should have <strong>the</strong> following hardware:<br />
A CD-ROM drive<br />
A minimum of 150MB of free hard disk space (an additional 150MB of<br />
free hard disk space is required to install PersonalJava Solution <strong>for</strong><br />
<strong>OS</strong>-9)<br />
At least 16MB of RAM<br />
One available RS-232 serial port, two ports if SLIP is to be used.<br />
Host Software Requirements (PC Compatible)<br />
Your host PC should have <strong>the</strong> following software installed:<br />
Microware <strong>OS</strong>-9 <strong>for</strong> ARM<br />
Windows 95/98/ME or Windows NT 4.0/2000 operating system<br />
A terminal emulation program. (For example, Hyperterminal, which<br />
comes with Windows)<br />
