Configure <strong>Board</strong> Switch Settings<br />

There is one switch setting to change <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Prospector</strong>/<strong>P1100</strong> to run<br />

<strong>OS</strong>-9. It is DIL switch SW5, shown in Figure 1-3. Figure 1-3 shows <strong>the</strong> DIL<br />

switch settings in <strong>the</strong>ir default positions. Leave <strong>the</strong> switches in <strong>the</strong>ir default<br />

positions until after you have burned <strong>the</strong> <strong>OS</strong>-9 ROM Image into Flash<br />

memory. After <strong>the</strong> <strong>OS</strong>-9 ROM image is in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Prospector</strong>’s Flash, change<br />

<strong>the</strong> SW5 switch to <strong>the</strong> High position, as shown in Figure 1-4.<br />

Creating <strong>the</strong> <strong>OS</strong>-9 ROM image and burning it into <strong>the</strong> <strong>Prospector</strong>’s Flash<br />

memory is described in <strong>the</strong> following sections of this manual.<br />
