ERFA Groups Since the establishment of OCD in 2003, ERFA-groups have been important for the centre and its members. The four ERFAgroups act as business forums focusing on each their sector of the offshore industry. Represented in the ERFA-groups are suppliers and sub suppliers as well as consultants, service providers, training institutions and universities. This gives a possibility for the different industry partners to network with each other and with the academic institutions. Each group meets approximately 4 times a year to discuss current activities within their focus area. Often, an external lecturer is invited to give a presentation over relevant topics. Approximately half of all OCD member companies regularly participate in ERFA groups. In this section of the Yearbook you can read about the four different ERFA groups. Members of Offshore Center Danmark can freely join the ERFA groups suited for their businesses. Find presentations from the conference at www.decom2007.dk. • The ERFA Decom group has been important with reference to the ongoing activities at the Port of Esbjerg on the issue of an “Offshore Receiving Plant”. A 23,000 m2 offshore receiving installation for Decommissioning is hence being planned by the Port of Esbjerg. The commercial issues of Offshore Receiving Plant will be placed and discussed in ERFA Decom. • The ERFA Decom group is under recon- struction and will have a call for the 4th meeting at the beginning of 2008.
