Market Requirements and Competence Developments of Newcomers to the Danish Offshore Oil and Gas Market To an increasing extent Small and Mediumsized Enterprises (SME) approach the offshore oil and gas industry as a new and interesting market. A consequence of the above is that small and medium-sized companies frequently contact Offshore Center Danmark to get assistance and knowledge in connection with market penetration on the offshore oil and gas area. This new project will identify the entrance barriers for new SME’s and lower them for the newcomers to the Danish offshore oil and gas market. 70 Offshore Center Danmark Yearbook 2008 The following industrial sectors are represented in the offshore oil and gas sector: operators, offshore service and component providers, logistic and transport providers, HR, IT, materials providers of steel, aluminiums, composites etc. The project shall identify the opportunities for the companies, and focus will be directed to small and medium-sized enterprises in Denmark.
