Courses
For the past 3 years Offshore
Center Danmark has been
active as a provider of courses
for the offshore industry.
The courses are characterised
by being unique, offering
packages of specialised
knowledge not available anywhere
else in Denmark. Also,
the courses are obtainable at
a low cost, but at the same
time still of a high quality.
Since the start in 2004, a total
of almost 20 courses have
been held. Currently, Offshore
Center Danmark offers
3 different courses.
Oil and Gas
This 2 day course provides an introduction to
the offshore oil and gas industry. The entire
supply chain is presented at a level suitable
for everybody. This will enable participants
to better understand the entirety of the
industry as well as become familiar with the
special terminology that is often used in the
offshore industry. Such skills are valuable
when networking with partners or negotiating
with customers.

Basic Course

and Gas
PROGRAMME
Oil and Gas
The course gives an overview of key areas
within production of offshore oil and gas,
among other topics including: Geology,
exploration, offshore platforms and drilling
rigs, well operations, processing and distribution.
Additionally, the concept of HSEQ
and safe behaviour is introduced.
The course consists mainly of lectures and
dialogue. Additionally, a visit to a typical
offshore company is planned, allowing
participants to get hands-on experience with
some of the equipment/techniques used in
the industry.
The course is aimed at both newcomers to
the industry as well as existing employees
in need for an overview of the business. It is
useful for everybody who plays an active role
in the offshore oil and gas sector. No prerequisites
are necessary to attend the course.

Processing
Similar to the Oil and Gas course, the
Processing course offers a basic introduction.
On this course however, focus is limited
to the treatment that oil and gas from the
production wells undergoes, before it is ready
to be sent to shore via pipelines or tankers.
The purpose and usage of the different
process equipment is explained as well as
how the equipment interacts, supported by
examples from offshore process platforms.
The participants will obtain knowledge
about the design of the process equipment
and how it works. Also, the participants
will become familiar with some of the
special terminology which is often used in
the offshore industry.
The course is aimed at newcomers to the
industry as well as existing employees in
need for an overview of the processing
part of offshore operations. It is useful for
everybody who plays an active role in the
offshore oil and gas processing sector. No
prerequisites are necessary to attend the
course.

Offshore wind energy is a market currently
under rapid development. To dress
employees with basic knowledge about
this new industry, Offshore Center Danmark
offers a 2 day introduction course.
The course presents the market and
technology making participants familiar
with the entirety of the industry as well as
become familiar with special terminology.
