Scarecrow Festival Well done and thank you to Neil, the ‘Churches Working Together Team’, and all those who made scarecrows or who helped in any way for the excellent Scarecrow Festival last weekend. It was our first event and we were so lucky with the excellent weather. It was such a pleasure watching families looking for scarecrows around the town and hearing the excitement of children when they found them. Well done to the mobile Bishop and Vicar Scarecrows moving around the Church. You were great fun and realistic. People looking for Scarecrows in the church were a little taken back when they were told the Scarecrows had gone for lunch. Watch this space next year for more Scarecrow fun. The winner of the Peoples Favourite was ‘Alice Tinkers Wedding – Vicar Of Dibley’ entered by the Trefoil Guild. The winner of the children’s competition was S Garret. The answer to the collected letters was ‘Protector of crops’ The winners have been notified. After expenses the 'Churches working Together ' gave £310.00 each to the church and chapel funds.
