Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Company turns 52 years old in 2017, and we’ve come a long
way since Flo and Bob Irwin started shipping orders for aircraft grade spruce from the basement
of our family home in Fullerton.
Back in 1965, Aircraft Spruce had one full time employee (Flo) and one product; aircraft
spruce. Over the years, every type of aircraft part and pilot product has been added to
our inventory, and the company catalog has grown to over 1,000 pages and over 100,000
products. The one employee has increased to over 170 today. From the day Flo opened the
doors in 1965, to 1980 when we took the helm, all the way to 2017, the goal of our company
is to offer the best price on the products we sell and the best service in the industry.
Our growth over the years has been made possible by the support of our customers worldwide,
and every member of the Aircraft Spruce team is committed to living by our Mission Statement on every order, every day.
