DIN-rail time switches: The optimal solution for making time 

switch tasks easier, safer and more energy efficient

talento product line 

DIN-rail time switches from the talento family are 

available in digital and analogue design. 

Highlights among the digital DIN-rail time 

switches are the talento smart series models. 

Developed specifically for the requirements of installers, 

they are equipped with a variety of technological 

innovations such as the WILDCARD 

function for simple programming of recurring 

events or the QUICK COPY function for a quick 

transfer of existing programs. A special feature 

of talento smart: All time switches can also be 

easily and quickly programmed on the PC or 

smart phone and transmitted via the integrated 

Bluetooth interface on the time switch. 

The analogue DIN-rail time switches from the 

house of Grässlin allow switching commands 

in both daily and weekly programs as well as in 

the 1-hour program. The products are mostly 

equipped with motion work, thus setting the time 

- especially in the weekly version - is much easier. 

Time and switching times can be checked at a 

glance, resulting in versatile application possibilities, 

such as passage way lighting in underpasses, 

showcase lighting in boutiques or control of 

pumps in fountains. 

In the standard program of the digital versions, 

the talento pro series models are also available in 

two categories - either as standard or medium. 

Both categories are represented with 1-channel 

or 2-channel timers. 

The digital and analogue DIN-rail time switches from Grässlin are 

available as 1-channel and 2-channel variants.

system of watertight enclosures from 16 to 125 A, providing solutions for 

protection, control and electrical distribution for tertiary and industrial 

applications.

Sockets with interlock switch 

A complete range in order to guarantee safety, reliability and functionality 

In conformity with IEC 60309 standards, all the industrial sockets have a lock or holding mechanism, which keeps the plug firmly locked in the 

socket, preventing it from being pulled out involontarily. 

Sockets with an interlock switch have been designed to meet the safety requirements and, in particular, to prevent plug insertion or removal while 

the socket is under load. 

Their interlocking device allows closure of the main switch and, subsequently, the power supply only when the plug is fully inserted in the socket, 

and when complete mechanical and electrical connection has occurred between the sleeves and pins. 

Plug removal is possible only when the switch is in the "off" position. 

The use of these solutions is compulsory in accordance with the regulations in force, e.g. in places where there is a risk of explosion or fire. 

However, in order to prevent dangerous contacts capable of causing overheating and consequently insulation deterioration or the outbreak of a 

fire, it is always advisable to adopt this safety measures. In this way the user has the guarantee that current can only be accessed under optimum 

safety conditions with the plug correctly inserted.

Discovery is a range of high specification, analogue 

addressable fire detectors. Discovery detectors offer 

reliable detection and false alarm management 

through a combination of EN 54 approved operating 

modes and sophisticated algorithms. Discovery has a 

‘distributed intelligence’ system, where decisions are 

made in the detector head as well as the fire control 

panel. Drift compensation is also incorporated into 

the detector, allowing it to adapt to dirty or dusty 

environments which reduces false alarms. 

Each detector in the Discovery range can operate in one 

of five approved response modes which can be selected 

from the fire control panel or hand-held programmer. 

The response characteristics have been carefully set so 

that the detectors comply with the requirements of the 

relevant part of EN 54 in all response modes. Mode One 

will give a higher sensitivity to fire than Mode Five. 

Designed for use in medium to large applications 

with specific system requirements, Discovery 

gives you total reassurance in installations where 

adaptability to changing conditions and protection
