I then replaced the shock with a<br />
custom-built WP Trax link unit that<br />
was sprung for my weight and ability.<br />
I also replaced the stock piston driven<br />
reservoir on the Trax link shock with<br />
WP’s new bladder system and fitted an<br />
X-Trig hydraulic shock collar to make<br />
the sag adjustments a load easier (a<br />
must, the OEM collars are a shocker<br />
– excuse the pun). Replacing the<br />
piston driven reservoir with a bladder<br />
eliminates the moving parts and that<br />
means a cooler and more constant oil<br />
temperature. And using a bladder there<br />
is no need to ‘break the piston free’ at<br />
the initial part of the stroke, this makes<br />
the shock feel a lot smoother and less<br />
harsh. I then paired the shock with<br />
the Stillwell / Fastway linkage guard<br />
(adjusted to position II).<br />
