As part of staff development Greytown Hospital took the initiative and sent three staff
members to further their studies. Ms. Khanyi Xulu, Ms. Delisile Hlabe and Mr. Dlamini attended
this course for the whole of last year. Ms. Xulu and Ms. Hlabe attended their
graduation ceremony. Mr. Dlamini was also supposed to attend the graduation but was sick
and admitted at Day Med hospital. Graduation was at Grace Community Hall in Newcastle.
They were honored with National Certificate in Business Administration by Damelin.
KHANYISILE XULU— is our Records Officer and she works at Registry.
This is the face of our hospital as she welcomes all visitors to the
hospital. The location of her office requires a vibrant and friendly personality
and this is the perfect place for Ms. Xulu as she is all that.
Ms. Xulu also has a B. Admin ( Human Resource) which she obtained at
University of Zululand. She was pictured when receiving a merit certificate
as outrageous achiever in class of 2009 by Damelin.
She is grateful of the chance that she was given by the institution and she
is hoping this will assist in her day to day duties .
Well done Khanyi Keep up the good work.
DELISILE HLABE— works at Patient Administration as Admin
Clerk. She graduated with Damelin and she is very happy and
thankful for the chance she was given by the institution .
Delisile was nominated as best Admin Clerk and got an award
in 2007. She is hard working and is looking forward to applying
what she has learnt. They are still continuing with the
course this year.

EVERYTHING STARTS FROM THE GATE… OUR MAIN ENTRANCE IS UNDER RENOVATIOIN. WE ARE LOOK-
ING FORWARD TO THIS ENTRANCE.
In the past years we had a number of complaints
from the community regarding mixing of
TB and non TB patients.
This was also an internal issue as we are trying
to meet infection control standards.
Italian cooperation came to our rescue and answered
our plea. They donated funds to renovate
the old PHC building into female TB ward.
Renovations are now finished and the ward
looks stunning. It is going to be utilized as soon
as all the equipment needed is available.

GREYTOWN HOSPITAL—PHC was honored
to be part of the heart touching ceremony
at Tholinhlanhla Primary School.
In this event the soul buddies were launched
and introduced to other learners.
SOUL BUDDIES - will assist other learners
in giving them moral support. The event was
also blessed by the presence of the Soul Buddies
from Buhlebuyeza high school.
World Vision donated name tags for all the
buddies, which will enable other learners to
identify buddies.

DONATION TO DENTAL CLINIC
O n the 16th of December 2009 Greytown Hospital
was visited by a bible studying team led by Reverend
Sibisi. The team came with a donation of 500 tooth
brushes and 500 units of toothpaste.

All of these were merely from individual pockets and the group it is indeed
from the bottom of their hearts. The donated items will be given
to Dental Clinic for assistance to patients with oral hygiene problems.

3kg. Her mother is from Ngubevu

On that note Nonhle Dlamini,
gave birth to a baby girl at
06h00 on the 01 st of January
2010 weighing 2.7kg. She is
from Nhlalakahle, 1097 Zig
Zag road.

It was raining and cold but Greytown
won both netball and soccer codes.

celebration, where old mutual hosted a
