Features<br />
The <strong>PHM</strong> is exclusively powered by air.<br />
Rotary motion and linear stroke motion of the<br />
honing head are infinitely variable through simple<br />
regulation of air supply to obtain the desired<br />
crosshatch surface pattern.<br />
Stone pressure is also infinitely variable through<br />
regulation of air supply to the stone pressure<br />
actuators.<br />
When air supply to the stone pressure actuators is<br />
shut off, the stone holders will be retracted so that<br />
vertical scratches in the cylinder liner wall can be<br />
avoided when the honing head is removed from<br />
the cylinder liner bore.<br />
Stroke lenght is limited by adjustable stops.<br />
The exchangeable stone holders are offset with<br />
respect to the radial arms of the honing head for<br />
superior honing performance.<br />
