We’ve already discussed that Filters are blocking you from
knowing the truth, your truth.
Did you experience an ideal childhood? Did your parents
love you unconditionally? Did they support all the things you
wanted to do? Did they provide their support even though you
wanted to do very challenging things?
Were you often sustained by your parents’ ability to listen
deeply to what you wanted to do, and were they perceptive
enough to understand who you truly were? If so, you’re part of
the 2% in the country. Hurray for you!
Most people did not experience this type of childhood. Most
people were raised and trained by parents or grandparents with
strong judgements and biases on how life should be, and these
adults wanted to raise a child to be a cookie-cutter version of
the parent, a chip off the old block.
