Chapter 3: Myth Defied 95
A few moments ago I was talking about the normal childhood
most people experience. There is a constant flow of, “No, no,
no, don’t, do it my way,” and in your early childhood, under the
age of six, you cannot know what your parents are thinking, so
you have to guess and sometimes walk on eggshells to peopleplease.
As a child, you try to please your parents because it’s the only
life you know, even if it’s totally dysfunctional and violent.
Because you, as a child, are dependent on your parents, and
this is all you know; you love them even if you don’t like them.
Meanwhile all these limiting beliefs are being indoctrinated into
your subconscious, and all these blocks and plugs and obstacles
to the Universal Flow are building and separating you from the
flow of energy to which you are divinely entitled.
Obviously, this is especially devastating because a lot of thought
patterns and values were imposed on you that were not organic
to who you Really are. Again, we don’t want to judge your
parents because they were doing the best they knew how to do,
and at the time, their abilities were limited because “they don’t
know what they don’t know”.
So, when you were a child and constantly heard the many no,
no, no’s, how can you know what “yes” is? You don’t know how
