GLOSSARY<br />

Administrative Expenses – all costs, charges and expenses payable by the Company, as detailed under the Item 4<br />

of the Section “Fees, Charges and Expenses” in the Prospectus<br />

Application Form – the appropriate application form for the subscription, the redemption and the conversion of<br />

Shares of the Company available at the Promoter or distributors<br />

Articles – the articles of incorporation of the Company<br />

AUD – the currency of Australia<br />

<strong>AXA</strong> – the <strong>AXA</strong> Group which means any entity from time to time directly or indirectly and/or alternately controlled by<br />

<strong>AXA</strong><br />

Business Day – a full banking business day, other than a Saturday or Sunday or public holiday, on which banks are<br />

open all day for business in Luxembourg<br />

CHF – the currency of Switzerland<br />

Class – a class of shares within each Sub-Fund which may differ, inter alia, in respect of their specific charging<br />

structures, specific dividend policies, specific currencies or other specific features<br />

Company – <strong>AXA</strong> World Funds (or “<strong>AXA</strong> WF”)<br />

Dealing Price – the price at which Shares are subscribed for, converted or redeemed as calculated on a forward<br />

pricing basis by reference to the Net Asset Value as described under the heading “Valuation”<br />

Directors – the directors of the Company<br />

EU – the European Union<br />

EUR – the currency of the Member States of the European Union that adopt the single currency in accordance with<br />

the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, as amended by the Treaty on European Union<br />

GBP – the currency of the United Kingdom<br />

Group of Companies – companies belonging to the same body of undertakings and which must draw up<br />

consolidated accounts in accordance with Council Directive 83/349/EEC of 13 th June 1983 on consolidated accounts<br />

and according to recognised international accounting rules<br />

Institutional Investor – an institutional investor as defined by guidelines or recommendations issued by the<br />

Regulatory Authority from time to time<br />

Investment Advisor – any entity appointed from time to time by the Management Company or the Investment<br />

Manager to provide advices and/or recommendations on the implementation of the investment policy of a relevant<br />

Sub-Fund<br />

Investment Managers – <strong>AXA</strong> Investment Managers UK Limited, <strong>AXA</strong> Investment Managers Paris, <strong>AXA</strong> Investment<br />

Managers Inc. or such other investment manager appointed from time to time by the Management Company (each<br />

an “Investment Manager”)<br />

Key Investor Information Document or KIID – document required to be drawn up and published by the Company<br />

for the information of the investors pursuant to article 159 of the Law of 2010<br />

Law of 2010 or Law – the law of 17 th December 2010 relating to undertakings for collective investment, as the same<br />

may be amended from time to time<br />

Management Company – <strong>AXA</strong> Funds Management SA, a Luxembourg management company submitted to chapter<br />

15 of the Law of 2010<br />

Member State – a member state of the European Union<br />

Mémorial – the Mémorial, Recueil des Sociétés et Associations<br />

Money Market Instruments – instruments normally dealt in on the money market which are liquid, and have a value<br />

which can be accurately determined at any time<br />
