The Patience of <strong>the</strong> Saints<br />

“Here is <strong>the</strong> patience of <strong>the</strong> saints.” “For ye<br />

have need of patience, that, after ye have done <strong>the</strong><br />

will of God, ye might receive <strong>the</strong> promise.” Heb.<br />

10:36. We have need of patience. “For yet a little<br />

while, and He that shall come, will come, and will<br />

not tarry.” Those that have been keeping His<br />

commandments and waiting for Him, have need of<br />

endurance, for <strong>the</strong>re is yet a little while.<br />

“The just shall live by faith.” There are three<br />

places in <strong>the</strong> New Testament where this scripture is<br />

used, and <strong>the</strong> emphasis used in each case is<br />

different. “For <strong>the</strong>rein is <strong>the</strong> righteousness of God<br />

revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, <strong>the</strong> just<br />

shall live by faith” (Rom. 1:17) There <strong>the</strong> emphasis<br />

is placed on being righteous.<br />

“But that no man is justified by <strong>the</strong> law in <strong>the</strong><br />

sight of God it is evident; for, <strong>the</strong> just shall live by<br />

faith.” Gal. 3:11. There faith is emphasised.<br />
