JT ANNOUNCES NEW CHAIRMAN
JT Group has announced that one of the UK’s leading
technologists, Phil Male, has succeeded John Stares
as its Chair. Guernsey-based John stood down after
completing 10 years on the Group Board, the last five of
which were as Chair.
UK-based Phil has been a Non-Executive Director
of JT since 2011, and previously chaired the Group’s
nomination committee, as well as sitting on its audit and
remuneration committees. He has been at the forefront
of the technology, media, and telecommunications
sector for almost 30 years, founded two successful
start-ups, completed two listings on the London Stock
Exchange, and held executive roles at some of the
sector’s leading firms.

APPLEBY ANNOUNCES
THREE NEW PARTNERS
IN GUERNSEY
Offshore law firm Appleby has
welcomed Andrew Harding and
Richard Field as Partners in the
Group’s Guernsey office, further
strengthening their Corporate and
Dispute Resolution teams.
In addition, Richard Sheldon, Head
of Employment – Channel Islands,
has been promoted to Partner
within the Dispute Resolution team.
Wendy Benjamin, who has been
appointed as Office Managing
Partner of Appleby's Jersey office
and who also continues in her
role as Managing Partner for the
Guernsey office, said: 'We are
delighted to welcome Andrew and
Richard. This is a great boost to our
established Guernsey team and it

Richard Sheldon

BDO MAKES SEVEN PROMOTIONS
BDO Limited has further strengthened its audit offering
with the promotion of seven employees to the position of
Audit Supervisor.
Krista De La Mare, Samantha Gervaise-Brazier, Natalie
Dodd, Trymore Masasi, Kudzai Bandama, Malwande
Sondaba and Tinotenda Munengwa, all previously
Audit Seniors with the firm, were promoted in May. The
accountancy and business advisory firm has made the
promotions as part of its continued growth.

EXPANDS ITS TEAM

Trust (GET) - a charity
that supports disabled
and disadvantaged
people to prepare
for, find and maintain
employment - Nikki
Ioannou-Droushiotis,
has taken on the role of
Chief Executive. Nikki
has worked for the
service in its current and
previous format for a
total of 10 years and has
been fundamental in
shaping and developing
the GET mission
and service since it
became a charity.
Alison O’Neill has been
promoted to the role of
Supported Employment
Manager overseeing a
team of Employment
Support Officers. Claire
Nightingale has joined
the team as Employment
Development Manager,
to focus on building
relationships and
opportunities with
employers on the
island. Claire has a
20-year career in
marketing branded and
consumer goods.
Diana Brook has recently
joined GET as the Job
Club Leader. She will
be developing the Job
Club service to appeal
to a wider audience.
NEW BRANCH MANAGER AT WAITROSE
Waitrose Partner Kevin Stone has been promoted to
Branch Manager at the Guernsey Rohais shop. Kevin
brings 32 years’ experience at Waitrose having begun his
retail career as a Warehouse Partner in the UK Dorchester
branch. Since then he has held many managerial
positions, working in 10 different branches before moving
to Guernsey in April 2016 to work in the Rohais shop.
'I am looking forward to taking on this challenging new
role and continuing to work closely with our Partners.
This role will give me the opportunity to help further
enhance the great service Waitrose is well known for and
ensure we are showcasing our latest ranges’; he said.
