MICROSOFT EXECUTIVE
AS A CONSULTANT
Channel Island creative and
digital agency Oi has appointed
former top Microsoft executive
Chris Atkinson as its Executive
Team Development Consultant.
Chris has a passion for executive
team development and coaching
business leaders to achieve their
full potential. As a Vice President
at Microsoft for over 20 years
he understands that if managers
are from Mars then leaders are
from Venus, and so began his
own leadership journey. The true

their Vice President, Chris’S biggest
contribution to the success of his
teams, which spanned more than a
decade, was his decision to become
a coach to his leaders.

NEW PROMOTION AT LIVINGROOM
Livingroom Estate Agents has appointed its Open Market
Manager, Jason Hyland, as Open Market Director.
Jason has been with the estate agency since 2010 and
his new role will see him assume greater responsibility for
the growth of the business as a whole while maintaining
his focus on the Open Market.
Simon Torode, founder and CEO of Livingroom,
said: ‘Appointing Jason as Open Market Director
undoubtedly strengthens Livingroom while recognising

AFM'S NEW COMMERCIAL MANAGER
Facilities management company AFM has
appointed a new Commercial Manager with
over 20 years of director level experience in
the UK facilities management industry.
Mark Powell joins AFM from SPIE UK, a leading
provider of hard facilities management and
maintenance services, where he was Head of
Business Development prior to leading the retention
of their two key facilities management accounts.

of Mark Powell. His unique experience and
techniques acquired from the UK facilities
management marketplace will be invaluable to

Steven Balmer and Elliot Aron
CAREY OLSEN STRENGTHENS
PRACTICE WITH TWO APPOINTMENTS
Offshore law firm Carey Olsen has added to its litigation
and dispute resolution practice with the appointments of
Senior Associate Elliot Aron and Associate Steven Balmer.
Elliot, who qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in
2010, joins Carey Olsen from a top-tier UK law firm. He
was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2013 and
practised at the English Bar. He has also practised in the
Cayman Islands.
Steven was admitted as a solicitor in Scotland in 2016
and joins from a well-regarded national firm. He has
experience in an extensive range of commercial disputes,
appearing in Scotland's Sheriff and Sheriff Appeal Courts.
Karen Le Cras, head of Carey Olsen's dispute resolution
team in Guernsey, said: 'We are delighted to welcome
Elliot and Steven to Carey Olsen. Between them they
bring considerable experience in advising across a broad
range of subject matters.’
