Summer is here and this year’s been
one of our busiest ever, both at the
airport and out in the community.
This is largely thanks to our 50th anniversary
celebrations, which are now in full swing
with exciting events organised, and so many
people playing their part. By now, you may
have seen that we are running our very own
‘Willy Wonka’-style Golden Ticket giveaway,
hiding five tickets somewhere in the islands
– keep an eye on our Facebook page for
the latest clues and details. We’ve also just
announced the winner of our hugely popular
Primary Schools Design Competition and are
busy organising our one-off ‘Golden’ Day Trips
to European destination (see pages 8-9 for
the latest 50th anniversary news). Throughout
the year, we’ll have plenty more events
planned to ensure we celebrate our 50th
birthday in style and we hope you’ll join us.
Here in Guernsey, we’re also entering one of
our busiest ever summers, helping to connect
tens of thousands of you for your holidays and
island breaks. In Guernsey and Alderney, July
and August is a prime time to visit, packed
with the very best events and shows for
families to enjoy. As an airline, we’ll be out and
about raising awareness of our services and
raising funds for the GSPCA and MUG (Male
Uprising Guernsey), our two Chosen Charities
of the Year. You’ll easily spot us thanks to
our distinctive children’s attraction ‘Junior
Joey’, so please come over and say hello.
In this edition of En Voyage, I’m pleased to
say we’ve got all you need to know about
summer events in Guernsey (pages 16-18)
and how to get the most out of your family
holiday on the island (pages 22-24). As well as
its stunning beaches and beautiful scenery,
Guernsey prides itself on quality food and has
so many venues around the island, offering a
variety of cuisines, delicacies and snacks. For
the ultimate treat, which you can take your
time over, why not experience some of the
very best afternoon teas we have to offer here
in Guernsey? Just flick over to pages 66-68 to

to enjoy this quintessentially British tradition.
If you’re looking for great places to visit in

home, the New Forest in Hampshire has so
