menu but the à la carte menu was
too tempting. Yet again I couldn’t

The menus are based around seasonal local produce
wherever possible. La Reunion describe themselves
on their website as ‘Taking inspiration from around
the world, all of the dishes are designed to immerse
you in our world driven by taste, technique and
flavour.’ It’s a bold statement but as the saying goes,
‘the proof is in the pudding’, and their food (including
their desserts) is top-notch. There is a ‘set lunch and
early dinner menu’ offering two courses for £16 or
three courses for £21 as well as an a la carte menu.
They also have a kids’ menu and a ‘party menu’ for
large groups. Popular menu items include Herm
Oysters, Seared Local Scallops, Lamb Fillet and Wild
Garlic Wellington, Glazed Duck Breast and from the
dessert menu the stars of the show are the Chocolate
and Peanut Brownie and the Mango Mousse.
