The words ‘rural farm’ and
‘luxury’ don’t often go hand
in hand, but the Dandelion
Hideaway has managed to
marry the two just perfectly. Set
on a beautiful rural farm, these
vintage-style luxury canvas
cottages are the perfect antidote
to the stresses of everyday life.
Ideal for family holidays or a
romantic break, the six canvas
cottages are tucked away in the
farmland and each has been
designed with comfort and luxury
in mind. Leather sofas, woodburning
fires, retro kettles, soft
linen curtains, en-suite bathrooms,
and one of the cottages even has
a bubbling wood-fired hot tub!
There is also a small classic
old-fashioned English shop on
site called the Old Cow Shed,
which contains a whole host
of mouthwatering goodies to
sample, and enough of the basics
to enable you to prepare your
own meals in your cottage.
Another benefit to being based
on a farm is that you’re never
far from a friendly farm animal
– a real benefit if you have small
children with you who need
entertaining. There is also a
games den and a kids’ summer
camp complete with wigwams.
ACCOMMODATION
The Dandelion Hideaway is dog friendly and is open early April-
October. It’s just 20 miles from East Midlands Airport. Prices start at
£725 per week and the canvas cottages sleep 5-6. Families also have
the option to pre-book highchairs, travel cots and mini tractors!
