DAY 2
9.30AM – PEPPA AT THE PARK
Inject some excitement into your morning by
heading to Paultons Park – voted the UK’s number
one family theme park by TripAdvisor. As well as
being home to the world’s first Peppa Pig World,
with seven Peppa-themed rides, there are more
than 70 exhilarating rides and attractions to
enjoy. Those looking for more of an adventure
should check out the Lost Kingdom, a Jurassicthemed
attraction, home to the mighty flight of
the Pterosaur suspended rollercoaster, the thrilling
Velociraptor coaster and life-like moving dinosaurs.
12PM – GLORIOUS GARDENS
You don’t have to be a keen gardener or an
enthusiastic horticulturalist to appreciate the natural
beauty and vibrant colours at Exbury Gardens. From
the world-famous displays of rhododendrons, azaleas
and camellias, to riverside walks, art exhibitions and
discovery trails, there’s plenty to do and see. You can
explore on foot, by chauffeur-driven buggy or travel on
the steam railway and then enjoy the riverside views
with a picnic or tea and cake from the tea rooms.
1.30PM – BEHIND THE BREWERY
A day of exploring makes for thirsty work, so head
to the famous Ringwood Brewery which produces
popular ales, including Forty Niner, Boon Doogle and
Razor Back. Take a tour around the brewery, where
you can taste the malted barleys, have a sniff of the
hops, and see the fermentations bubbling away in the
TunRoom. A tasting session is included and you can
also browse the brewery store which is packed with
gifts, goodies, and great bottled and draught beers.
3.30PM – NATURE AT ITS BEST
It’s your last chance to make the most of your
surroundings, so make your way to the New Forest
National Park. This truly unique area has a huge
diversity of rare animals and plants – one of the
reasons why it was made a national park in 2005.
The stunning landscape is shaped by the grazing
of ponies, cattle and pigs that roam freely and
it’s one of the last places in southern England to
really offer a sense of wildness and tranquillity.
Choose to explore on foot, horseback or by bike.
in the south of the New Forest, this innovative
establishment has its own in-house fishmongers and
is headed by chef David Wykes. David takes inspiration
for his dishes from nostalgic experiences of a
childhood growing up in the seaside town of Hastings,
and the natural beauty of the local environment.
