The Digital Greenhouse
Guernsey Independent Film
Productions will be running
film courses in the island with
the support of the Guernsey
Arts Commission and Digital
Greenhouse. This is the first
edition Get into Filmmaking,
which is tailored for Guernsey film
enthusiasts, film makers or anyone
with an interest in the world of
film and cinema. The hands-on

SCARECROW FESTIVAL
Torteval Parish Church
Join hundreds of islanders and
visitors and take a stroll through the
beautiful south west of Guernsey.
Follow the festival path and vote
for your favourite of over 60
scarecrows in all shapes and sizes.

filmmaking in order to get you
started in realising your own projects

array of professional film equipment.

THE WEST SHOW
L’Eree Aerodrome
Celebrated for more than 100
years, agricultural and horicultural
traditions are on show on Guernsey’s
west coast, as well as an array of
local costume, fairground rides,
competition entries to view, evening
entertainment and much more.

DONKEY DERBY
Saumarez Park
This popular annual event includes
a variety of charity stalls, Crown
& Anchor and not forgetting
the donkey races. A tote will be
set-up to enable you to have
a flutter, and a beer tent will
be open for refreshments.

CHANNEL ISLANDS
PRIDE 2018
Various locations
This year’s Channel Islands LGBTQ
Pride festivities and parade will be held
in Guernsey for the second time.

GUERNSEY AIR
DISPLAY

The Red Arrows are back in 2018 for
the Guernsey Air Display, formerly
known as the Battle of Britain Air
Display, which has been an annual
fixture in the Guernsey calendar
for over forty years. Free to watch,
the air show always includes an
impressive array of military aircrafts
both historical and modern day.
This popular event remembers and
honours those who served in the
Royal Air Force during World War
II and in particular the pilots and
crews who served in the Battle of
Britain from June-October 1940.
