HAINSWORTH’S HIGH
HOPES FOR STRONG
END OF SEASON
Aurigny Engineer Christian
Hainsworth is looking to bring more
consistency and podium finishes to
the second half of his season in the
Suzuki Swift Rallycross Championship.
The 26-year-old rally driver is
hoping for ‘a bit more luck’ in
the upcoming rounds of the
Championship, having experienced
a tough and frustrating start. He
currently sits mid-table in the
overall standings but is confident
that he can turn around his form.
He also wants to add to a few more
podium finishes to his name.
‘I finished sixth overall last season,
and I’m still confident I can do better
than that, with a good second half
to the season. I need to get back to
good consistency, and try to get as
many podiums, and hopefully wins,
as I can.’ he said. ‘I’m confident I can
climb up the table with a few decent
results. I hope my luck changes,
that’s for sure.’
Christian has suffered bad fortune
in almost every round of the 2018
competition so far – his third season
in the Rallycross Championship.
In the opening round, Christian
headed to a new track at Silverstone,
but could not find his pace. The
weather also caused the drivers
huge problems. The next rounds
in Lydden Hill in Kent and Croft in
Yorkshire, also proved challenging,
but Christian is determined to turn
his season around.
‘I just want to get on as many
podiums as I can,’ he said. ‘My
highest ever finish in a round was
third place during the 2017 season
and I’m hoping I can do better than
that before the end of the season.’
AURIGNY STAR ON
The Big Jet TV presenters Jerry
Dyer and Jonny Heather joined the
Aurigny team live on the ramp at
the London airport for the arrival
get an insight into our operations
Starring on the show was our
STAFF SUPPORT THE
TEAM AT THE GSPCA
Our staff made a special trip to the
GSPCA to lend a helping hand and
to see the fantastic work and care of
the animals at the shelter.
During a day of volunteering, we
helped to clean and prepare the
outdoor rabbit areas and the aviaries
for baby birds. We also worked
in the kennels where a flooring
company is now in replacing 31
kennel floors, and carried out some
dog walking throughout the day.
BAGGAGE
ADVICE FOR
PASSENGERS
AW
ATR 42
Always secure a tag onto
your baggage containing
key contact details,
including where you will
be staying.
Insert a sheet of paper into
your bag with key personal
details, such as your name,
contact details, flight
numbers and address of
where you will be staying.
Carry any essential items,
such as medication and
money, with you on the
flight.
Customise the look of your
bag to make it easier to
identify.
Immediately report the
loss of checked luggage
if it does not arrive at your
destination. Do this before
leaving the airport.
The GSPCA is one of Aurigny’s
official charities of 2018, along with
MUG (Male Uprising Guernsey).
GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne said:
‘From Trislanderall at the GSPCA a massive
thank you to the Aurigny team
who were all stars and it is lovely to
hear that one of the team has now
adopted one of our dogs.’
One of our volunteers, Sales
DORNIER 228
Ledger Supervisor Steff Robilliard,
adopted one-year-old Peppa, a Jack
Russell and Staffordshire Bull Terrier
cross. Peppa is now a much-loved
member of the Robilliard family.
