Thornton and Hillyer.
I)lrector of lllasonlc Service
I have pleviously made refer.ence to the appointment ot CIinton
M. Norton as Dilectol of Masonic Service.
The work that falls to the Directol of Masonic Service is of
great importarce to the Craft and ha.s been ably carried on this
past year. A goodly number. of fellowship meetings rtrele held
rvhich I attended.
It is hoped that this work may be enlar.ged upon and thab
rnole meetings rnay be held throughout the state.
Distlict Representativcs
Our 30 Djstrict Representatives have rendered a yeomeu,s
service to the Craft during the past year.
The lepresentatives are asked to make a report on each visit
made to the Grand Master and also to send copies of such reDol.ts
to the Deputy Grand Master and the Dilector of Masonic Selvice.
A review of these reports reveals the following lnfolmation;
eighteen representatives have visited all the lodges in their districts
and filed reports, seven have made some visitations and made
leports while only five have not reported at all. Of these five,
however', I know that some visitations have been made.
It is leports of this kind that lend encouragement to the
Grand Master and these brethren are to be commended fol. ilreir.
faithfulness. It is through you that the Grand Master can. in a
way, at least keep in touch with all of the lodges throughout that
state. It has been my pleasure to attend many meetings wlth these
brol.hlen and I know what a fine job they are doing.
My personal and heartfelt thaDks to you, one and all.
