This is an occasion which I arn sure evely Grand Master looks
fol'ward to with a great deal of pleasule aud anticipation. This is
especially true if he has attended this conference the year pr.evious
as Dcputy Grand Master u'hich was my privilege. Just the very
fact that one is given the opportunity to visit our Nation's Capitol
and the seat of our. governnent is of importance and educational.
This year our' Gland Jurisdiction was lepresented at the
by the valious officels of the association setting forth the
activities during the pa,st year'. These reports also included what
still remains to be done to cornplete the memorial, such as States
estimated cost of approximately three quarters of a million dollals.
I am sorry to report that our Grand Juisdiction is somewhat
in alrears in the financing of this justifiable undertaking and it
is my hope thai befole too long we may fintl it possible to pay our
