AHMED, known
in showbiz circles
as Blakk Rasta,
has advised ‘Total
Cheat’ hit maker, Fancy
Gadam, to add cultural practices
to his music to attain international
recognition.
According to Blakk Rasta,
Mujahid Ahmed Bello, aka
Fancy Gadam, needs to learn
more and incorporate aspects
of the culture of the northern
part of Ghana into his music.
In an interview with SVTV
AFRICA, Blakk Rasta said, “I
am not raising myself above
Fancy but I’m just suggesting
to him that he has to learn
more. Ghanaian music is not
travelling because we are too
comfortable with the ‘charity
begins at home and ends at
home’ mentality.”
He continued to bitterly
state that other African countries
are chosen over Ghana in
the ‘Grammys because they incorporate
their cultures into
their music.
Fancy Gadam is a Dagbani
afro pop, reggae and dancehall
musician. In 2017, he won the
‘New Artiste of the Year’ at the
Vodafone Musician Awards
(VGMA). In 2018, his song
‘Total Cheat’ won the ‘Song of
the Year’ at the VGMA and
also won ‘Hiplife Artiste of the
Year.’

I’ll not collaborate with
Sarkodie — Flowking Stone

Stone, has said that his
previous collaboration with
Ghana’s most celebrated rapper,
Sarkodie, brought a lot of
controversies between fans of
both parties.
After the ‘Fire Burn
Dem’ remix, on which he featured
Sarkodie , several arguments
arose a few of which
ended up in fans from both
sides stabbing one another.
According to him, the
song brought about a
very big feud as to
which rapper is
better than the
other and the
arguments
among their
fans ended
up in fights.
Therefore,
he cannot
solely decide
to make a collaboration
with
Sarkodie till the
dispute between
both fans are settled
and his (Flowking
Stone’s) fans in
particular give him the goahead.
“Through the comments
the fans will make about things
like this involving this misunderstanding
will make me
know if the fans are now comfortable
with me collaborating
with Sarkodie again or not.
And I also want to tell the fans
that me collaborating with
Sarkodie is nothing but love.
We all enjoyed it, so I think it’s
something we should be happy
about,” he said on Zylofon
FM.
Flowking Stone is currently
promoting his song titled ‘One
Love’ featuring singer
Adina.

I am used to insults and
negative stories — Delay

Deloris Frimpong Manso, known
in showbiz as Delay, has said that
her success in the creative arts industry
is owed to the fact that she
does not make negativity get to
her.
“As for hearsay,
bloggers putting
out negative
stories, the insults
etc, I am used to
it. The reason is
that it comes with
the job I do;
controversy is in
the nature of
creativity, if it
matters, and it
will generate
controversies.

In her opening remarks during
Sunday’s show where she interviewed
highlife artiste, Kumi Guitar,
Delay made it clear she is used
to insults and not scared by any
controversies.
“As for hearsay, bloggers putting
out negative stories, the insults
etc, I am used to it. The reason
is that it comes with the job I
do; controversy is in the nature of
creativity, if it matters, and it will
generate controversies.
“And I like controversies because
the more controversial it
gets, the more interesting it gets. I
am not scared of
controversies at all.
Sister Afia Delay, I
have the courage
to face it and I’m
swift enough to go
through them as
well,” she said.
It’s no surprise
for Delay to say
this because she is
one personality
who has endured a
lot of negativity in
our showbiz industry.
She has seen it
all, from criticisms
about her shows,
public breakups
with her friends
(Afia Schwarzenegger,
Tornado, Vicky
Zugah), insults and
accusations from
guests to other controversies
but according
to her, she
is unmoved by it all.
