Should support desktop integration with other common workstation
applications used for word processing, spreadsheets, data
management, and graphics.
8.1.3.6 Workflow/messaging:
Workflow management shall allow configuration of various
processes and management of multi stage process workflow.
Should have workflow management capability, including generation
and routing of internal forms, reports, and other financial
documents, for online approval or subsequent processing.
Should enableauthorized users to define workflowprocesses and
business rules, includingapproval levels, and to modify
workflow(e.g., assigning a proxy approvingauthority).
Ability to establish multiple levels ofdocument approvals based on
user-definedcriteria, including amounts, types ofitems purchased,
and document types.
The workflow should be able to send notifications when manual
intervention is required in a process
Aninternal calendar or user-defined routingtables to generate rulebased
or exceptionreports to support the generation ofworkflow
messages.
Ability to track approvals online bytransaction, including the time,
date, andapproving party.
Thecapability to automatically generateelectronic routing and status
messages toindividuals or groups.
Workflow design to consider W3C standards.
The workflow should interface with email system supporting SMTP
for sending out notifications.
8.1.3.7 Document Management:
Should supportOpen Document Management
Architecturestandards.
Should provide thecapability to electronically image, index,store,
and facilitate quick retrievalof document referenceMaterial.
The solution should have the ability to expire and retire content.
Should incorporate a file tracking system to be able to store, and
retrieve indexed documents.
