led an expedition out of Patras, and, guided by E~enekos,
marched along the coast of Achaia, with a view to
securing the current harvest. But Kolokotrones was
prepared. At Vostitza his lieutenant Paploutas defeated
the Turkish force, and hurled it back on Patras;
and shortly afterwards another body of Ottomans was
defeated by Gennaios amid the vineyards of Divri, and
driven back on Pyrgos. On the news of these victories,
the districts which had fallen away from the national
cause once more threw in their lot with the
Greeks.
