SEMESTER III
LANGUAGE EDUCATION (Elective)
1. To develop an understanding of the nature functions and implications for planning
and teaching language.
2. To acquaint the students to the traditions of Language education.
3. To acquaint the students with pedagogy of language learning and teaching.
4. To develop understanding and skill in differentiating between Teaching language
and teaching literature in the context of L 1 and L2.
5. To help the students to know various problems such as contextual, curriculum,
teacher preparation etc. of language education in India.
