My name is Amy.I am 17 years old . I
live with my aunt; my mum died , but I
don' t know anything else! My aunt
doesn't speak about that. She is not
kind, especially with kids she is very
bad.

I love ballet but she doesn't let me
dance. So I do it secretly when I have
time, because she tells me all the time
to do chores and study for the
university. But I always find the time
for ballet.

Today is my birthday. Now I am 18
years old. I had been waiting for my
aunt to bring me a present, but when
she came I saw that she wasn't
holding anything.

She said to me that we would go on a
long trip. I was excited and I asked
when we would go, how and who we
would go with. But my aunt stopped
me. She said that I would see and she
left.

I sat on the coach and I started
thinking about where my aunt, Elena ,
had decided for us to go for a trip. But
while I was thinking, I heard my aunt
say to me that in 30 minutes we would
go.

I am going to take with me some
casual clothes, the ballet clothes,
shoes, my diary and my flute .

I got ready. My aunt took me to a
garage. She was holding a clock. She
whispered some words and suddenly a
door showed up. I didn't know what to
say. My aunt got in and told me to
follow her.

When we got in she pulled a lever and
we slid down a slide. We ended up in a
weird room. There was a machine and
my aunt wrote somewhere the words
'Leonardo da Vinci'.

Da Vinci was an inventor, painter,
sculptor, architect, scientist, musician,
mathematician, geologist, astronomer
and many other professions. He died
on 2 May, 1519.

While we were there and we were
speaking to him, he showed us his
inventions. But suddenly, the clock
started counting upside down, and we
started disappearing.

Then my aunt wrote: dinosaurs
and...we saw dinosaurs! No! The
dinosaurs hadn't dissapeared, they
were real, and they were very big.I
asked my aunt to go quickly back
home.Then she whispered something
and

a dinosaur came, we got onto his back
and in 2 minutes we returned to that
weird room.

Then when she wrote 'future'. I didn't
know what to say. WOW! Buildings in
the air!

Our journey continued like that for a
long time! Maybe that was the best
present I could have received for my
birthday!
