21 Urban Design Guidelines for Barrie’s Intensification Areas - DRAFT 2.5 Intensification Typologies As new development occurs within the Intensification Areas, the Auto-Oriented Commercial Districts, Corridor Residential Districts and Core Districts buildings and site design should evolve to reflect a higher density, more urban condition. This development will take a number of forms based on location and existing context. The Intensification Typologies, described in detail in the following section, comprise all Intensification Nodes and Corridors, Major Transit Station Areas, and the Urban Growth Centre, and carry through the remainder of the document.
