In St. Petersburg 22-25 September, 2009 the 10th NEVA 2009 Exhibition and Conference for
Shipbuilding, Shipping, Ports and Offshore Energy development will take place.
This Exhibition and Conference have the traditional and continuous support of the Maritime
Collegium of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Maritime Council of the
Government of St. Petersburg.
On the basis of the positive results of the 1st “Future of the Russian Ports” Conference,
which was included in the Programme of TRANSTEC 2008 Exhibition, October 2008, and
the recommendations imposed by the Delegates, the NEVA 2009 Port Sector will include the
traditional topics of:
• Port Equipment to develop the ports infrastructure and superstructure
• Development of the Arctic and North Ports to improve the effectiveness of the North Sea
Route Transport Corridor
• To develop and ensure the Transportation of Oil and Gas Resources extracted from the
North offshore under sea fields.
In addition to the above the following new topics will be discussed:
1. Technologies and equipment to improve port safety and security
2. Technologies and systems to cover the environmental issues in port development, operation
of the port fleet, sea and river transport
3. Development of port facilities for passenger, ferry, sea and river cruise transportation and tourism
