The Volga Diesel Co. Ltd. named after Maminykh, the oldest diesel factory in
Russia (founded in 1899), expresses its greatest respect for you and informs you
that, at present, our enterprise manufactures diesel reverse reduction gear based
on the in-line diesels ChN21/21, ChN17/20 and ChN16/24.5 with improved massclearance
and technical and economic features. The engines are based on the inline
diesels 6ChN21/21 that have been in series production since 1999 and have been
successfully used on the Danube, Volga, Оb, Irtysh, Enisei, Angarа and Lena rivers and
their tributaries. The diesel reverse reduction gear ДРРА26 (based on the 6ChN21/21
diesel) and the DRRA26K(8ChN17/20) has an output of 400 hp, and is intended for
power plants used as the main engines on river craft designs R-45B, R-ЗЗB, 1741, 1741
А, 414V and others instead of diesel engines 6NVD26А-3 and 6NVD26А-2 produced
by SKL and instead of diesel engines 8ChNsp18/22 manufactured by Daldiesel in
Khabarovsk. The engine is supplied complete with full documentation attached to
R-45Б, R-ЗЗB, 1741 А and 1741 vessels, by agreement with the Register. The diesel
reverse reduction gear DRRА27 (based on the 6ChN21/21) has an output of 550 hp,
and is intended for power plants used as the main engines on river craft and marine
vessels of various designs. The diesel reverse reduction gear DRRA374 (based on
the 4ChN21/21 diesel) and DRRA374К (6ChN17/20) have an output of 250 hp and
are intended for power plants used as the main engines on river craft and marine
vessels of designs R-14А, 908, 911, 911А, 911V, 912V and others instead of diesel
engines with diesels 6Chsp18/22 and 6ChNsp18/22. There is a design associated
with the vessels 911 and 911V that has been agreed with the Russian River Register.
The design hardware on offer is represented by the firmly established diesel, reverse
reduction gear, oil primer, fine oil-cleaning filters, oil coolers and internal duct diesel
coolers interlined by pipes. Thermostats were fitted to the engines to automatically
maintain the oil temperature in the lubricating system, and water was used in the
ducts to cool the diesel. A pulley was attached on the port engine at the forward
end of the diesel, to actuate the NSh 10 pump for the ship's control actuator. On
the starboard side, it is intended to select an output of 20 kW to drive the 3~220V
alternator. The equipment envisaged includes an air starter using air compressed at
a pressure of 30 atmospheres. There is a version that uses an electronic starter. To
adapt to other planned ships, if required, modifications involving other transmission
ratios and output are possible. The diesel 6ChN16/24.5 has an output of 223 or 250 hp
are an alternative to the 6L160PNS diesels, which are properly used as main engines,
and the 6S160PN diesel generators with an output of 150 kW. DRA420/900 diesel
reduction gears (based on the 6ChN21/21 diesel) have an output and revolutions of
420 hp/900 minutes; they are intended for installation as main engines on maritime
vessels FSB RF, project 1496М and others represent a 6ChN21/21diesel separately
mounted on shock absorbers and the RPM33 reduction gear rigidly mounted on

production of DA33 diesel engines has been outstanding, with an output of 630

of 1,102 to 4.409. There is documentation from a range of diesel generators with
a standard output of 264, 315, 420 or 500 kW at 1000 rpm. The diesel-generators
are represented by the ChN21/21on a general shock-absorbed frame, the Stamford
generator, oil primer, fine oil-cleaning filters, oil coolers and internal duct diesel
coolers interlinked by pipes. The development and preparation of diesel generators
based on the diesels of other manufacturers is possible. As an alternative to the G70
main reserve engines (with an output of 662 or 883 kW) manufactured by RUMO
plc, the 6NVD48A-2U (640 or 735kW) and the 8NVD48A-2U (846 kW) manufactured
by SKL, we suggest DRRA46K diesel reverse reduction gear engines based on the
modern type 6ЧН20/27 diesel, or the DRRA48K based on the 8ChN20/27 diesel
and the reverse reduction transmission gear type GMC 36.39 with a transmission
ratio of 1.97to maintain the ship's existing propeller. The engines do not have an
overall frame, so, in order to mount the engine and the reserve reduction gear, it is
necessary to modify the ship's bottom in accordance with the Register. If required,
our enterprise can order any planned attachments and its agreement with PPP. If you

any modifications to the diesel-reverse reduction gear with your requested features
as regards output and output revolutions and, if necessary, adapt the engine frame
under the existing ship's bottom.
