NEVA 2009 HEBA 2009 8 MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION 10th ANNIVERSARY (Minpromtorg of Russia) Department of Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Technology During 22-25 September, 2009 in St. Petersburg the 10th NEVA 2009 Exhibition and Conference will take place - one of the world’s largest maritime exhibitions for Shipbuilding, Shipping, Ports and Offshore “Shelf” activities. The NEVA Exhibitions, created since 1991, are considered by every standard as one of the leading events among maritime exhibitions globally. NEVA is attended by over 800 exhibitors from over 40 Countries and has the traditional support of the Maritime Collegium of the Government of Russia and the Maritime Council of the Government of St.Petersburg, along with the major national Unions and Associations of the Russian maritime industry. The first purposes of the Exhibition are to demonstrate and promote the production and services of the Russian ship designers and manufacturers for the international market, the development of cooperation between the national shipbuilders with Russian and International ship owners, closer partnerships between the companies producing oil and gas from undersea resources and presentation of shipbuilding production for Arctic development and “Northern Sea Route” operations. The main topics of the NEVA Exhibition and Conference include the issues of the current state and future perspectives for the development of world shipbuilding, shipping, exploration of the sea ocean mineral deposits, including the methods, facilities and technologies for such operations, sea safety, shipping operations and technical facilities and port equipment production. NEVA actively benefits and accelerates the integration of shipbuilding industries, development of the commercial shipbuilding, including ships and technology for offshore extraction and transportation of the hydrocarbons, construction of sea, river and fishery vessels, maritime construction technologies in order to improve the positions of commercial shipbuilding in Russia and increase its share and collaboration within the world maritime market. NEVA 2009 HEBA 2009 MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION In 2009 the traditional NEVA topics will be extended to include new subjects to focus on the required facilities and ships for the offshore operations (“Offshore Support Sector”), Staff Recruitment, Preparation and Training for the marine industry and on the revival of the Russian national commercial fleet. We consider the participation of your company in the 10th Jubilee NEVA 2009 Exhibition necessary and hope it will benefit the promotion of your products and services to national and international markets and increase the reputation of Russian shipbuilding.
