your machines are, how they are being used and when the next service
is due. Warnings can be automatically programmed and, of course, all
recorded data can be tracked.

BOMAG TELEMATIC comes in two versions.
BOMAG TELEMATIC START
The base package provides the following functions:
■ Location tracking
■ Geo-Fence (a warning indicates the machine
has left a defined area)
■ Monitoring standing time (an warning indicates
the machine is operating outside of defined
times)
■ Records operating hours
■ Service and maintenance planning
BOMAG TELEMATIC START
available as an option on self-propelled BOMAG
models – and BOMAG TELEMATIC START can
even be fitted to other manufacturers’ machines –
meaning you can manage mixed fleets.

BOMAG TELEMATIC POWER
The POWER solution offers the following features
additional to those on the basic package:
■ Total and average fuel consumption for all time
periods
■ Utilisation of capacity and efficiency
■ Idle running control
■ Alarm warnings under key operating conditions
(oil pressure, cooling water, ...)
BOMAG TELEMATIC POWER
is available as an option on self-propelled BOMAG
rollers with electronic control e.g. DH-4 single
drum rollers, pavers, planers, refuse compactors
or MPH recyclers/stabilisers. BOMAG TELEMATIC*
can also be installed onto machines from other
manufacturers.

Long telephone calls are a thing of the past – whether
you’re concerned with transport, usage or scheduled
service intervals.
You know if your machine is where it is supposed
to be.
Define virtual geographic areas and assign them
to specific machines. If the machine leaves that
area an alarm warning will be sent via e-mail. This
simplifies the tracking of machines and offers
additional security. The system detects the threat of
theft in real time.
You know if the machine is being used without
authorisation.
Define time periods when the machine should not
be operated. If the machine moves or is operated an
alarm warning is sent via e-mail.

BOMAG TELEMATIC supports cost control.
Operating hours
can now be assigned to specific periods, sites or an
individual hirer.
The POWER version
even allows fuel costs to be assigned. A comparison
of refuelling data can reveal the theft of fuel.
Whether you are a hirer or a contractor, BOMAG
TELEMATIC simplifies your billing processes. For
example, in a joint venture actual costs become
identifiable with BOMAG TELEMATIC.
The POWER version
gives you reports about standing time during
operations which allows you to introduce targeted
training for key personnel.

See online when any machine requires a service.
And check the current operating hours at any time.
The system tells you when a service is due so you
can plan service times, avoid unnecessary travel
costs and utilise capacity in your workshop.
Completed services are all documented.
How does BOMAG TELEMATIC work?
A specially developed robust module designed for
use on site is installed securely onto the machine
and receives the current GPS position and other
data from the machine’s electronic system. This
data is then transferred up to 150 times a day via
mobile communications to a central server and
prepared for display on the internet. Users can
view data for their machines on any computer with
internet access. Naturally, all data is password
protected.

data transfer and database. Data can also be
transferred to office programmes.
