Product Description 

• Standard magnets are 1.5mm thick with a 4-colour 

laminated print on the front. 

• On the reverse, printed edges are folded over to allow 

for specific information such as credit line or artist’s 

name to be printed on the edge. 

• A superior strength magnet is affixed to the reverse.

Artwork Guidelines 

We are happy to accept any of the following file 

formats and media types. If you have any queries 

regarding sending artwork please contact us. Please 

always send us the native file from your application, 

not an eps or pdf, and make sure it is clearly 

labelled. To avoid confusion, it would be helpful if 

your disk contained only the relevant files you 

want printing. 

Applications: 

We can work with the following applications: 

• QuarkXpress up to 2015, please note that we 

cannot accept Quark Passport files unless saved 

in single language version 

• Adobe Creative Suite, ie Photoshop, Illustrator 

and InDesign 

Media Types: 

• CD-ROM / DVD-ROM 

• Email files up to 5Mb direct, or use 

www.wetransfer.com to send larger files. 

Image Files: 

Please provide images in the following formats: 

.eps, .tiff or .jpeg (high quality setting). 

Image Resolution: 

For quality reproduction of your images, the image 

needs to be saved at 300 dpi. If you are scanning 

your own images, consider the final size your image 

will be used at. Always scan photographs at 

300dpi at the size you are going to use them at. 

There’s no point scanning a postage stamp at 300 

dpi and then enlarging it up to an A4 size. Use your 

scanning software to help you calculate the output 

resolution. Conversely, scanning photographs at 

more than 300dpi will have little or no effect on 

the actual printed quality and will unnecessarily 

increase the file size and processing time. Please do 

not supply images that have been downloaded 

from the web, these are generally only 72dpi, whilst 

they may look okay on screen, when printed they 

will be of low quality and look blurry. 

RGB to CMYK: 

All images must be converted to CMYK, this is 

best done in applications such as Photoshop or 

Photopaint. 

Fonts: 

Please include all fonts that have been used in your 

artwork. Postscript fonts come in two parts – the 

screen font and the printer font – we need both. 

True Type fonts only come in one part. If you are 

designing your artwork on a PC, there may be 

cross-platform issues with the fonts, as we will 

checking your artwork on Macs. Please provide a 

hard copy of your artwork so that we can check to 

see if the fonts have not resulted in text reflows. 

Origination Charges 

Option 1 

You supply finished artwork, we charge a one-off 

charge to cover disk handling and one colour 

proof. 

Option 2 

We design and lay-out from the reference you 

supply. We will charge an origination charge. 

• Additional design time is chargeable 

• Discounts given for multuple images/products 

Additional Costs 

• Scanning: £30 per scan 

• Additional Proofs: £30 per proof 

• Barcode Labels: 5cents each if you supply, 

10cents each if we supply
