1 Turner Dumbrell Workshops<br />

The Turner Dumbrell Workshops are a hive of creativity and a<br />
destination not to be missed as you meander around Ditchling,<br />
taking in all the artistic delights. This year, eight studios will be<br />
open with work ranging from fine art, paintings and prints to<br />
leather handbags, handmade books, calligraphy and jewellery.<br />
Make sure, if you are able, to take the external staircases to the<br />
left and right of the main building to find studios 14 and 15 as<br />
they are a bit tucked away. All studios apart from these two have<br />
wheelchair access.<br />
Jane Hopkinson Bags studios 1&2: Handmade leather bags<br />
concentrating on colour, shape and form . Open weekdays and<br />
weekends 12/13 19/20 26/27 May.<br />
Calligraphy and Design studio 4: Fine calligraphy, watercolour<br />
painting and animal drawings by Patricia Gidney.<br />
Sparrowworks studio 5: Kate Baker-Brown incorporates nature<br />
into handmade books, prints and textiles.<br />
Window Gallery studio 9: Artworks by Philip Dunn and a bespoke<br />
picture framing service.<br />
Auricula studio 12: Gemstone and freshwater pearl jewellery by<br />
Natasha Caughey. Collections are constantly evolving and each<br />
piece is unique. Commissions welcome. Also open weekdays<br />
10am – 3pm.<br />
Rosemary Pavey studio 13: Artist and Writer. Figurative and<br />
landscape paintings, prints, cards and books.<br />
Bernadina Lloyd studio 14: Drawing, painting, collage,<br />
paper-making.<br />
Gigi Lopez studio 15: Contemporary artist sending poignant<br />
messages through her new ‘Santos Series’.<br />
