Instructions for use<br />
Innumerable exams, in the course of time have shifted <strong>to</strong><br />
more improvised version of exam taking system, which<br />
involves the technology of computer and is recognized as<br />
<strong>Computer</strong> <strong>Based</strong> <strong>Test</strong>/examination.
<strong>Guidelines</strong> for <strong>attempt</strong>ing <strong>Computer</strong><br />
<strong>Based</strong> <strong>Test</strong>
1.<br />
Look for the right icon on your<br />
desk<strong>to</strong>p<br />
• You will be provided with a desk<strong>to</strong>p on your assigned seat.<br />
• Look for the icon on the display screen that specifies the name of your exam.<br />
• Now click on the icon <strong>to</strong> start your exam.
2.<br />
Fill in the required details<br />
• Clicking on the icon will take you <strong>to</strong> the starting page of the exam.<br />
• This page will ask for some of the details like your username, password and name<br />
of the subject. It is manda<strong>to</strong>ry <strong>to</strong> fill these fields.<br />
• After you are done with the filling of the initial page, click on the “NEXT” option.
3.<br />
Read the instructions carefully<br />
• Now the next page consists of instructions<br />
• Read them carefully as they specify the allotted time and the type of questions<br />
in each section and how <strong>to</strong> do them.<br />
• Now you will see a but<strong>to</strong>n on the <strong>to</strong>p or the bot<strong>to</strong>m of the page specified as<br />
“start exam” click on that but<strong>to</strong>n and start giving the exam.
4.<br />
Time indica<strong>to</strong>r<br />
• You will be provided with a timer on <strong>to</strong>p of the examination screen.<br />
• The clock will be indicating the remaining time in descending order.<br />
• Keep an eye on the remaining time. Plan your exam giving strategy in<br />
accordance <strong>to</strong> the time in hand.
5.<br />
Type of questions<br />
• The test will have multiple-choice questions and descriptive type questions.<br />
• MCQ type questions will have options <strong>to</strong> select from whereas descriptive type<br />
questions will have text-box <strong>to</strong> fill the answer.
6.<br />
Important but<strong>to</strong>ns that you need <strong>to</strong><br />
remember<br />
• Submit but<strong>to</strong>n: After completion of each question click on the submit but<strong>to</strong>n otherwise your<br />
answer will not be registered.<br />
• Next page but<strong>to</strong>n: To move on <strong>to</strong> the next page click on this but<strong>to</strong>n.<br />
• Mark for review: This option gives you a choice <strong>to</strong> return back <strong>to</strong> the same question later, and<br />
then <strong>attempt</strong> it again.<br />
• Previous page but<strong>to</strong>n: For going back <strong>to</strong> the previous page click on this but<strong>to</strong>n<br />
• Finish but<strong>to</strong>n: you will site this but<strong>to</strong>n on the last page of the test that you are giving. By<br />
clicking on this but<strong>to</strong>n you will end your exam.
7.<br />
Result<br />
• Result depends on the type of exam that you have <strong>attempt</strong>ed.<br />
• Sometimes you get the result right after clicking on the “finish” but<strong>to</strong>n where the result is<br />
displayed on your screen<br />
• Other time you get the result via mail or on your postal address.
