In the heart of our cultural quarter is the award-winning Towner gallery home<br />

to a mix of traditional and cutting edge contemporary art. Towner’s renowned<br />

collection of over 4,500 works features artists such as David Bomberg and<br />

includes the largest body of work by Eric Ravilious. Take a Collection Store<br />

Culture by the sea<br />

Cycle or walk the Coastal Culture Trail which joins Towner in<br />

<strong>Eastbourne</strong> with the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill and the Jerwood<br />

Gallery in Hastings. Connected by 18 miles of stunning coastline,<br />

there are four bespoke trails taking you through the Sussex<br />

coastline and countryside that has inspired some<br />

of Britain’s most celebrated artists.<br />

Ravilious & Co:<br />

The Pattern of Friendship is a major exhibition of<br />

the artist and designer Eric Ravilious (1903-1942)<br />

coinciding with the 75th anniversary of his death.<br />

Showing key works and works never exhibited before.<br />
