historical figures who once made up the fabric of this iconic<br />
landmark. In <strong>2017</strong> this impressive fortress becomes a living<br />
museum, returned to its early Napoleonic beginnings.<br />

underground water tanks opened up to the public<br />
for the first time, or conjure up images of long lost<br />
shipwrecks and discover hidden stories behind<br />
<strong>Eastbourne</strong>’s heritage coast at the site of the new<br />
‘Azimuth’ sculpture in the grounds of the fortress.<br />
