role of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical
Engineers (REME) is to do just that; maintain,
repair and manufacture equipment to keep
battle winning aircraft, tanks and weapons in
fighting order. The REME exists to ‘keep the
punch in the Army’s fist’.
18. Royal Armoured Corps
The Household Cavalry and Royal Armoured Corps
is recruiting, Regular (full-time) and Reserve, the
Yeomanry (part-time), soldiers and officers.
19. 256 Field Hospital
Based in Brighton but recruiting medical staff from
the south coast.
20. Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment
The counties infantry regiment. See the Tigers
Parachute Display Team jumping into the Air Show
and meet their Regimental Support Team with an
interesting military display stand. They are a mix of
regular soldiers and Army Reserve soldiers with the
reserve soldiers coming from Eastbourne and the
surrounding area.

Gazelle Helicopter

1974 and played a valuable operating role.

Come along and find out about careers in the Royal
Navy. Our two advisors will be on hand to talk to
young people and their parents about pursuing
a career in the service. A job in the Naval Service
