the network and services. In 2017 easyJet<br />
flew 3.5m international passengers into Berlin,<br />
which was more than any other airline, including<br />
Lufthansa, while the expansion into Tegel<br />
should increase year-on-year visitors to 5.6m.<br />
easyJet will operate 19 daily domestic flights<br />
from Tegel, on four routes, to and from Dusseldorf,<br />
Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart, and will<br />
introduce 15 new destinations from Tegel, to<br />
include Budapest, Madrid. Tel Aviv and Rome,<br />
among others. easyJet is now established as Berlin<br />
and Brandenburg’s home-based carrier, with<br />
almost 16 million passengers travelling to and<br />
from Tegel and Schönefeld airports. Travelers<br />
will be able to choose from more than 100 destinations<br />
from March onwards and 28 of these<br />
destinations are only operated by easyJet.<br />

Behne has been working in leading positions<br />
in international logistics for more than<br />
a decade, managing sales for temperaturesensitive<br />

such as Dachser and Nagel Group. DoKaSch<br />
Temperature Solutions is the Germanybased<br />
provider of the Opticooler, climatecontrolled<br />

Roshan Mendis<br />
• Sabre Corporation,<br />
a leading technology<br />

travel industry, has<br />
appointed Roshan<br />
Mendis as chief commercial<br />
officer (CCO) of<br />
its Travel Network business.<br />
As CCO, Mendis<br />
will be responsible for<br />
leading global sales, sales operations and<br />
business development initiatives worldwide,<br />
and will play an instrumental role in driving<br />
Sabre’s global travel distribution business<br />
as it invests in a fast-forward approach to<br />
next-generation retailing and distribution.<br />
A 20-year veteran of the travel technology<br />
industry, Mendis most recently served as<br />
senior vice president of Travel Network for<br />
the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)<br />
and Asia Pacific (APAC) regions where Sabre<br />
saw its 2017 bookings grow 9.8% and 7.9%,<br />
respectively. Prior to this, he led the APAC<br />
region for Travel Network and was instrumental<br />
in the company’s acquisition and successful<br />
integration of Singapore-based GDS,<br />
Abacus International.<br />
• Husam Zayed has informed Joramco of his<br />
intention to retire from his position as Chief<br />
Commercial Officer effective April 1, <strong>2018</strong>.<br />
Husam joined Joramco in 2011 and during<br />
his tenure, he assisted in turning Joramco<br />
into a leading profitable third-party MRO.<br />
Under his leadership he has cemented a<br />
clear customer footprint in the key markets<br />
of the Middle East, Europe and Asia, in addition<br />
to securing long-term partnerships<br />
with strategic partners for the future.<br />
• IBA, the independent aviation advisory<br />
and leading aircraft appraisal firm, has appointed<br />
Dr Stuart Hatcher to the role of<br />
Chief Operating Officer. “IBA is evolving to<br />
meet increasingly complex industry requirements<br />
in diverse global markets. Wisdom,<br />
judgment and tenacity are the skills that<br />
embody our advisory and analytical services”<br />
says Phil Seymour – CEO at IBA. “Stuart<br />
