In 1887, Fred & Charles Thulin immigrated from Sweden to the US and then to<br />

British Columbia in 1889, settling at “Kla-ha-men” - a former village & camping<br />

site located in the traditional territory of the Tla’amin people.<br />

The brothers developed a community at Kla-ha-men, which they named “<strong>Lund</strong>”<br />

after a town in Sweden & in 1905, established the <strong>Lund</strong> Hotel.<br />

Tla’amin Nation became a majority owner in 1999 & has been the sole owner<br />

since 2016.
