– (Centre for Oceanic and Atmospheric Research) –<br />
Mission: CIMA (Centre for Oceanic and Atmospheric Research), is an institution<br />
supported by CONICET (National Council for Scientific and Technological Research of<br />
Argentina) and UBA (University of Buenos Aires). It is located at the University of<br />
Buenos Aires main building, close to the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic<br />
Sciences not far from downtown.<br />
Research activities at CIMA are mainly focused on Climate Modelling, Climate<br />
Regional Variability, Regional Effects of Anthropogenesis Effects on Climate, Shelf Seas<br />
Modelling and Dynamics, Numerical Weather Forecast and Climate Change. CIMA is the<br />
main, probably the only, research centre of Argentina fully devoted to atmosphere and<br />
ocean modelling.<br />
