TIPS TO SLEEPING BETTER AND GETTING RID OF
by
Tess Kimble
Follow Us:
If you are an insomnia sufferer and have
trouble sleeping, the tips in this article
will help you achieve a good night’s sleep
and get rid of insomnia.
lot of people have had
A
to deal with what a
sleepless night can do
to them. If they continue,
you are a sufferer
of insomnia. The effects of
insomnia can be devastating on
your physical and emotional wellness.
When you take action, you
can get rid of insomnia and dream
the rest of the night.
1
GET ENOUGH SLEEP EVERY NIGHT
You should sleep enough hours that
make you feel rested. Don’t try to make up
for lost sleep. Sleep until you feel rested
every night. Don’t sleep a lot one night and
then think you can sleep less the next.
2
SLEEP ON REGULAR SCHEDULE
A schedule is the best way to get the
sleep you need each night; make your bedtime
the same time. Human beings are
creatures of routine, whether they know it
or not. You will feel much better overall if
you stick to a schedule. If you make it a
point to get some sleep at the same time
each night, your body will naturally start
to relax around then each night. You can
sleep a lot better if you limit your bedtime
hours to around eight maximum.
If you are suffering from allergies, worry no more,
the helpful pointers in this article will help you find
relief from your most dreaded allergy symptoms.
BUY A FIRM MATTRESS
TO SLEEP ON
If you suffer from insomnia often, look into
getting a firm mattress. Often a mattress
that’s too soft can offer little body support.
Your body will become stressed and
this will cause your insomnia to worsen.
Buying a firm mattress can truly fix a lot of
sleeping problems.
4
RELEASE TENSION WITH
A HOT WATER BOTTLE
Adding a hot water bottle to your bed space
may help you rest. The heat from the hot
water bottle can help release the tension
in your body. It’s a simple but effective way
to drift off more quickly. Place the water
bottle on top of your abdomen. Let your
body absorb the heat while you practice
deep breathing.
5
ENJOY A LITTLE MASSAGE
Another option for achieving a better
night’s sleep could be receiving a pleasant
massage just before going to bed. It helps
your body and muscles feel calm and relaxed.
Trade nights with a partner so they
can sleep better, too. It needn’t be a marathon
massage. Most people benefit from
15-minute hand, neck, or foot massages.
6
GET RID OF YOUR
WORRIES BEFORE BEDTIME
Worrying about problems the next day may
bring can prevent you from sleeping at
night. For instance, if you need to pay the
bills, do them during the day so that your
mind won’t get stressed near bedtime. Get
rid of the day’s worries as much as you can.
If needed, make a list of the things that you
have to do before you sleep.
7
THE BEDROOM IS
FOR SLEEPING ONLY
Avoid using your bedroom for any activity
besides sleeping and getting dressed. If
you have a computer in your room, it may
be difficult to sleep. You’ll be able to train
your brain into thinking your bedroom
is for sleep, if that’s the only thing you
do there.
8
ENJOY SOME SUNLIGHT
Getting some sunlight can help with
sleep at night. Try enjoying your lunch outside
or taking a short walk. This stimulates
your glands and allows them to produce
melatonin so you can fall asleep.
9
DO REGULAR EXERCISE
You may already know that regular
exercise helps you get enough sleep, but
it can also actually improve the quality of
your sleep, too. Working out can be a cure
for insomnia, but you need to make sure
you do it several hours before bed. You
should not work out right before you lay
down, as exercise is a stimulant. Be sure
that you’re done with exercising about 3
hours before bedtime so you won’t have a
hard time sleeping. Morning exercise is the
best idea.
QUIT SMOKING
Smoking is one of the worst offenders
when it comes to disrupting sleep.
Your heart rate goes up and your body is
stimulated, too. Quitting is a must. Getting
to sleep and having a better sleep quality
are just extra benefits.
UNDERGO THERAPY
If you suffer from insomnia constantly,
think about cognitive therapy.
When you partake this kind of therapy,
you will be able to identify your erroneous
beliefs that have disturbed your sleep.
It also reveals deviations from normal
sleeping patterns so that counteractive
strategies may be planned.
It is possible to obtain a good night’s
sleep. There are many alternative prescription
medications to take for sleep
difficulties; you can get the sleep you
need with minimal negative side effects.
The above tips will help you to get to
sleep deeply so that you can wake up and
feel refreshed.
7 USEFUL POINTERS FOR
by
Sleep apnea is a very serious medical disorder that afflicts millions of people. If
you suffer from the disorder, apply everything from this article.
Sleep apnea is a common disorder that can have a dramatic, negative affect
on a person’s life. If you suffer from sleep apnea, it is crucially important that
you educate yourself on the best ways to deal with the disorder. The information
contained within this article will educate you on several sleep apnea
healthcare tips.
1 TRY
WEIGHT LOSS
If you have moderate
to severe sleep
apnea, lose some
weight. Being overweight
or obese can
affect your breathing
severely and can
cause many health
problems, including
sleep apnea. Those
individuals who
lost at least twenty
to twenty-five excess
pounds saw a
marked improvement
in respiratory
issues related to
sleep apnea.
2
GIVE A MOUTH
GUARD A TRY
Consider using a
mouth guard when
you sleep. If your jaw
is improperly aligned,
this could lead to issues
with sleep apnea.
The alignment
of your jaw has a lot
to do with whether
or not you are getting
sufficient airflow.
Being fitted for
a mouth guard can
help you breathe
while it’s correcting
the problem.
There are options when
you’re dealing with
something like eczema.
The key is to take your
time to put the advice
given here to
good use.
USE A CPAP MACHINE
If you have to use a Continuous
Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine,
you may find it hard to get used
to at first. It is important that you do not
quit using the machine, though. Focus on
the benefits of the machine rather than
the inconvenience. It will make life safer
for yourself and others. Daytime sleepiness
caused by sleep apnea is a major
risk factor for car accidents, for instance.
If you use a CPAP machine, make sure the
mask fits well. Most people who quit using
their CPAP machine usually say it is because
the machine is uncomfortable. There
are a number of different masks available,
so you are not forced to use one that
causes discomfort. Try out many different
styles to find the right one.
4
ADJUST YOUR CPAP MACHINE
Most machines come with default
settings that might not correspond to your
needs. You should be able to regulate the
airflow: try different settings and choose
one that seems to work for you. If you
feel like your machine is not working like
it should, try changing the settings again.
If you are using a CPAP and experience
an issue with your mouth opening during
sleep, a chin strap can help. It is a simple
cloth strap that can easily hold up your
chin as you sleep. CPAP machines do not
function with open mouths, so a chin strap
can really save you.
5
AVOID DRINKING ALCOHOL
If you have been diagnosed with
sleep apnea, it is important to avoid
drinking alcohol. Alcoholic beverages
will relax the muscles in your throat,
which makes it more likely that they will
block your airway during your sleep. At
the very least, avoid any alcoholic beverages
in the evening before you get ready
for bed.
6
PROP UP YOUR
HEAD AND BODY
An excellent way to reduce the symptoms
of sleep apnea is to prop up your head and
body. If you can get your head at least 4
inches off of the mattress or elevate your
torso from the waist up, you will reduce
your symptoms. Try using a foam wedge
or cervical pillow when sleeping to do this.
7
TAKE YOUR OWN PILLOW
FOR A SLEEP STUDY
If you have sleep apnea, and you have to
have a sleep study, considering taking your
pillow from home with you. It can be very
difficult to sleep in the sleep lab. You are in
an unfamiliar place in a strange bed. You
have lots of wires, and electrodes attached
to you. Having your own pillow can help to
relax you and make it easier to fall asleep.
very serious and all too common medical
disorder that afflicts many millions of people
throughout the world. If you yourself
suffer from the disorder, apply everything
that you have learned from this article to
your life and ensure that you are doing everything
you can to protect your health.
As was discussed earlier, sleep apnea is a
by
acupuncture is suitable for you.
benefits and is done for many reasons.
and how it can work for you.
1
DON’T EAT TOO MUCH BEFOREHAND
Do not eat too much before you head into your appointment. While you should
not go in on an empty stomach, because you could experience nausea if you do, stuffing
yourself will only make you feel bad. Instead, plan to have a snack about an hour or two
before your appointment time.
Better health over the long-term depends on improving
your lifestyle with new, better habits and
activities like the ones suggested here. Read on!

2
STAY AWAY FROM COFFEE
PRIOR TO A SESSION
Avoid having coffee before your treatment.
You should abstain for about two hours
before an appointment. This restriction is
due to the fact that coffee is a stimulant
which works in direct opposition to the
goals of your acupuncture session. Coffee
also makes the acupuncturist’s job more
difficult because it is harder to get accurate
heart rate readings.
3
UNITED STATES
ACUPUNCTURE EXPERIENCE
Do not let an acupuncturist convince you
they are experienced because they practiced
in another country. Keep in mind that
practicing acupuncture in China or in another
country is very different from what
doctors are allowed to do in the U.S. Ask
your acupuncturist about their education
and experience in the U.S.
24 Issue 15 • April 2018

4
AVOID ALCOHOL BEFORE A SESSION
Stay away from an alcoholic beverage prior to a session. Acupuncture is supposed
to help you clear your thoughts and gain clarity. Alcohol will cause disruption, which is
not what you want. When you are suffering from a hangover before an appointment, try
rescheduling for a later date when the full effect will be noticeable.
5
SEE IT THROUGH
Finish your full course of acupuncture
treatments. You wouldn’t stop antibiotics
half-way through, right? You may feel
better by the end of your session; however,
the results may not be complete. Don’t
judge the outcome until you have completed
every bit of treatment.
6
FOCUS ON THE BIG PICTURE
Do not focus on how long the treatment
will take, as this can keep you from
focusing on the big picture, which is to get
well. The acupuncturist likely cannot give
you an answer to that immediately anyway,
as it depends partly on what you are
willing to do at home to help yourself.
Issue 15 • April 2018
7
TRY TO GET INSURANCE
COVERAGE FOR ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture is recognized as an effective
treatment for a lot of different ailments
and diseases by the medical world.
If you consider having this type of treatment,
you might want to check with
your insurance company first. Many insurance
companies will actually cover
the cost of acupuncture treatments.
If acupuncture benefits are not a part of
your insurance plan, start by writing the
company a letter. It is possible that the
company will consider amending their
plan. For maximum effect, send a copy of
the letter to your HR representative. Your
employer may have a part in determining
which benefits are included on your plan.
8
GIVE YOUR DOCTOR FEEDBACK
If you really don’t like a certain practice in the session, politely request not to have
it done again. Your doctor will be able to use an alternative technique. They may heat up
the needles while they’re in your skin so that the body is stimulated by the heat. If you
find it uncomfortable, tell the practitioner.
26 Issue 15 • April 2018

9
ASK TO SEE
THE NEEDLES
All acupuncture needles
should be labeled for single
use only. Make sure this
is the case in your acupuncturists
office. Ask to see
the needles, and make sure
they are bagged appropriately
and labeled for single
use. If this is not the case,
you could risk exposure to
dangerous diseases.
YOU SHOULD
FEEL NO PAIN
Acupuncture rarely is painful in any way. The needles used
in acupuncture are very thin. You can barely see them with
the naked eye. Because of their small size, they often do
not hit nerve endings and you will feel no pain. Even when
they do hit a nerve, they are so small you barely feel it.
Expect to see some small red dots and even some minor
bruising on your skin. After an acupuncture treatment,
this is perfectly normal. You needn’t feel upset or
alarmed. Eventually, these will disappear, and for this
small sacrifice, your body is going to feel a lot better.
Now that you’ve read the helpful information contained in
this article, you are much better equipped to make an informed
decision on whether acupuncture is suitable for
your needs. Make sure that you remember the benefits
that have been described to you. It really is a unique and
interesting procedure.
9 TIPS TO HELP YOU WIN YOUR
ECZEMA
by
When you have to
it can seem like
there isn’t much
out there that can help you.
Well, luckily you came across
this article. Here you’ll get
some advice on how to take
care of eczema so that in the
end you’ll feel better about
taking it on.
1
AVOID STRESS
Keep away from stress
when you have eczema. Stress can
cause an eczema flare-up. If stress
is getting to you, see if meditation
or workouts will help. Perhaps
you can keep your eczema flareup
from being too severe.
2
CONTROL YOUR
BODY TEMPERATURE
Your body temperature could have an impact
on your eczema. Being too hot could
cause you to sweat, which makes the skin
irritated and itchy. In the winter time,
the humidity inside is quite low, which
could cause the skin to dry out and become
itchy. Keep these things in mind as
to what could make your eczema flare up.
Avoid becoming overheated. Excess sweat
can trigger eczema flare-ups. If you do
work out, take a shower afterwards. In fact,
shower after any bout of strenuous activity,
which could include things like gardening
or heavy housework. Keeping your skin
clean will help to keep you comfortable
and your eczema flare-ups at bay.
Sleep apnea is a very serious medical disorder that
afflicts millions of people. If you suffer from the disorder,
apply everything from this article.
3
STICK TO OINTMENTS
Lotions and creams do not usually work as well as ointments. Ointments have a bit
more oil in them, which generally helps them moisturize more effectively. They are a little
harder to apply than creams, however, but they are much better at adding a protective
layer to the skin and easing your symptoms.
4
PROTECT YOUR SKIN
DURING WINTER
Winter weather can cause eczema to worsen.
Anytime your skin is exposed to frigid
air, it needs a protective barrier to protect
it from moisture loss. On any skin areas,
such as the face or neck, be sure to
heavily apply a moisturizer. Moisturizers
will help you avoid dry and cracking skin
because it locks in your skin’s natural oils.
If you live in an area that experiences
cold weather in the winter, buy a humidifier
to help decrease eczema flare-ups.
During the cold winter months, we close
all of our windows and turn on the furnace.
This can make the air inside the
house very dry, which makes the itching
and dry skin associated with eczema
even worse. To replace moisture in
your internal environment, use a humidifier.
This added moisture will keep your
skin from becoming dry, cracked, itchy
and irritated.
5 MOISTURIZE!
Eczema typically
causes skin to become dry
and itchy. To reduce these
symptoms, you need to apply
moisturizers. Though
it may sound odd, moisturizers
do not actually
add hydration to skin.
A good moisturizer that is
applied on a regular basis
will lock in moisture
and natural body oils. This
will reduce the amount
of dryness that you have.
Moisturize immediately following
bathing. This is the
best time to do it because
your skin is still damp.
Make sure to only pat dry
your skin between showering
and moisturizing. You
don’t want to remove any
moisture that your skin has
already absorbed; that is
counterproductive to treating
your eczema.
6
TREAT BABY
ECZEMA WITH
DAILY BATHS
If your baby has eczema,
bathe him or her every day.
This will help to keep the
skin moisturized and free
from infection. Besides hydrating
your baby’s skin to
help keep flare-ups at bay,
baths can be fun for babies,
and you can use them
as an opportunity to further
bond with yours.
7
KNOW YOUR
ENVIRONMENTAL
TRIGGERS
Some eczema is caused by environmental
triggers. Dust mites
can actually lead to eczema breakouts.
For other people, soaps
that have scents are to blame.
Regardless of what affects you, it
is important to pinpoint the cause
so you can stay away from that
product or situation. You may
need to make some small changes,
but the relief you find as a result
will be worth it.
8
DO NOT SCRATCH
Should your eczema start
to bother you, do not scratch, no
matter how tempted you are to
do so. Scratching not only makes
itching worse, but it can actually
irritate your skin and even cause
infection. Try to find other ways
to deal with the itching; apply
cold compresses to the affected
area or use medications.
9
PERFORM A PATCH TEST
Always preform a patch
test. When you are trying a
new product, it is important to
know whether or not it will irritate
your skin before putting
it all over yourself. Take a small
amount of the product and apply
it to a small portion of your skin.
After a few hours, you should
be able to determine whether
or not it triggers your eczema.
Now you’re able to see that there
are options when you’re dealing
with something like eczema. The
key is to take your time to put
the advice you were given here to
good use. It will be easier as time
goes on, so don’t delay and work
on this as soon as possible.
1
ADVANTAGES OF
CHIROPRACTIC CARE
There are many positives that can result
from seeing a chiropractor. If you have
back or neck pain, see a chiropractor. In
addition, getting treated by a chiropractor
routinely can prevent misalignment problems.
Proper alignment of your back and
spine is part of your whole body’s health.
Are you aware of the fact that you can
boost the body’s immunity with chiropractic
care? If your spine is misaligned, your
nervous system and immune system are
compromised. By having a chiropractor
align your spine, you can get more blood
flow into your body’s nervous system. This
blood will help you battle infections.
Living with panic attacks actually takes a great deal
of strength. Learn how to prevent your panic attacks
with the tips provided in this article.
2 FINDING A
QUALIFIED CHIROPRACTOR
You can easily find qualified chiropractic
care nearly anywhere in the country.
Chiropractic treatment represents the
second largest health care profession. It
is growing fast, too. There are more than
60,000 practicing chiropractors in the US.
10,000 chiropractic students are studying
to be professionals.
You can find a qualified chiropractor fairly
easy in today’s market. There are many
persons throughout the country and world
seeking chiropractic care each day. It’s
good to know that chiropractors that are
qualified go through a lot of training and
are certified to do what they do. They must
take a four-year undergraduate program
and have comprehensive knowledge of human
anatomy. Always review the training
and certifications acquired by any chiropractor
before you begin their treatment.
3
GET REFERRALS
FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Should you be looking for good chiropractic
care, speak with your physician about a referral
or suggestion. Even if you don’t need a
referral, it is always a good idea to get their
professional opinion. It is possible that your
doctor will suggest some other option.
4
AVOID CHIROPRACTORS
THAT SELL STUFFS
Stay away from any chiropractors wanting to
place you on a course of homeopathic supplements,
dietary products or herbal supplements
to treat diseases. When they are
selling this stuff out of their office, they are
probably not the best chiropractor. Turn to
a medical doctor to get that type of advice.
5
CHECK ON DISCOUNTS
Ask the chiropractic office to see if
they offer discounts for multiple visits.
Chiropractic care often means many visits
over time. It could be a couple appointments
a week for a few months; the costs
could rise. The doctor’s office may have
some sort of discount for multiple visits to
make treatment much more affordable.
6
DO NOT LET A CHIROPRACTOR
SNAP YOUR NECK
This can kink two well-known arteries in
your neck if something goes wrong. This is
usually not problematic, but a chiropractor
can accidentally tear the lining of the arteries
when not careful. This can result in
clots forming that can lead to stroke.
7
AVOID STRAINING YOUR BACK
If you study for a long time, it can strain the back. When doing this, you want to occasionally
keep a foot on a nearby stool. This helps reduce lower back strain. If this isn’t
possible, then make sure you are shifting your body weight every now and then.
8
SLEEP IN A PROPER POSITION
If you are dealing with back related problems, make sure that the position of
your body when you sleep is not causing further issues. You can use a cervical pillow
for neck support when you’re sleeping. This technique allows you to maintain posture
while you sleep.
42 Issue 15 • April 2018

9
GET OUT OF BED THE RIGHT WAY
Rise from bed the right way every
morning. Do this by stretching and
rising up slowly before you fully get up.
Next, swing the legs over to the floor
by supporting yourself with your arms.
Getting out of bed the right way helps
reduce spine injuries.
EMPTY YOUR BACK POCKETS
Do not carry a wallet inside your
back pocket. Most men stick their wallet
in the back pocket without realizing
that it can impact your lower back. The
misalignment this habit can cause affects
the lower back and can also affect the
bladder and the colon. Get it moved to your
front pockets to take the pressure away.
Now that you’re finished with this article,
you now know a few things about chiropractics.
You now know what kind of
benefits you can expect from this kind of
service. You should also be aware of when
you need to use it. Make sure that you
schedule appointments when you need to.
Realize that you do not have to live a life
that is full of ongoing pain.
There are many things to
learn, and it is hard to
know how to get started.
ideas you can use to
get started on your
1
TRY ZUMBA
If you are looking
to get physically fit, try a
Zumba class. Zumba is a
very popular new class offered
in most gyms across
the country. It incorporates
Latin dance with aerobic
moves. Even non-dancers
enjoy the movements
and everyone who tries
it, comes out of the class
burning hundreds, if not
thousands, of calories.
2
GET ADEQUATE
SLEEP
To have a healthy body, it
is important to have a good
amount of sleep. The body
needs to sleep to rejuvenate,
this should not be
taken for granted. Sleeping
for eight hours maintains
the body’s healthy immune
system, helps the individual
manage stress better.
So be sure to get a good
amount of sleep daily.
3
DO TEN TO TWELVE REPS
A great way to get fit is to perform
reps in the ten to twelve range when you
are lifting weights. You might not be able
to lift as much weight, but your muscles
will become more toned. The amount
of reps you do is very important in
getting fit.
4
PAY UP FRONT FOR YOUR GYM
Pay up front for the gym and your
trainer! Sometimes money is the best commitment
we can make that will insure we
will exercise regularly. If we have already
paid the fees for the gym and for our trainer
we will be much more likely to take advantage
of the services we’ve paid for!
5
ADJUST YOUR POSTURE
If you are going to be running uphill,
your posture greatly effects how well you
can do it. You should always try to keep
your head up and be looking at the top of
the hill whenever you run uphill. Using this
posture, it will make it easier to breathe. It
becomes harder to breathe when you are
hunched forward.
Issue 15 • April 2018
49

6 RUN!
Running is the one of the best ways
to get fit. While running, there is a simple
formula you should follow regarding the
speed and pace of your run. You should
start out slowly, then in the middle you
should increase speed, then at the end run
as fast as you can.
7
TAPE JAMMED FINGERS
While playing any sport like basketball
or baseball, you will notice that there
is sometimes one or two fingers that will
constantly get jammed. When this happens,
you should tape the jammed finger
to a neighboring finger and this will help
reduce dislocation.
8
FOLLOW YOUR
WORKOUT ROUTINE
Add your workout to your daily schedule,
and follow it. Many people say that
they do not have the time to exercise,
but if you add it to your calendar and try
it out, you will probably find that you still
accomplished everything else you had
to do. Lose the excuse, and get to work!
Make exercise your morning habit. Set your
alarm for a little bit earlier each morning,
and try to perform some sort of physical
exercise in that time frame. Eventually,
your body will realize that this is when you
wake up, this is what you will do, and it will
grow to enjoy it.
9
DON’T LET INJURIES STOP YOU
If you find yourself with an injury
on one side of your body, continue to
work out with the other to see benefits for
both. Your body will send muscle building
supplies to both sides, even if only one is
working. You will see less of a build on the
injured side, but a gain is a gain!
50 Issue 15 • April 2018

USE WEIGHT BELTS CORRECTLY
Only use weight belts for large muscle
lift workouts. In these special cases,
weight belts can actually help you to perform
better, by helping to properly distribute
weight and give you the center
of balance that you need to be stronger.
Weight belts can help reduce injury when
weight lifting, because of the assistance
they provide with balance.
BREATHE WITH
PROPER TECHNIQUE
Train yourself to breathe correctly. Lay
flat on your back and put something flat
and heavy on your stomach, like a book.
Practice making the book rise with each
breath, until it becomes totally natural for
you. Learning this simple technique will
help you perform better in any physical
task presented.
IMPROVE YOUR
JUMPING ABILITY
Increase your ability to
jump. Stand at the bottom
of a set of stairs, and jump
back and forth from the
bottom step to the floor.
Continue this until you feel
comfortable jumping at
that height. Once you are,
move to something higher.
Always make sure what
you are jumping on is stable
and secure.
WORKOUT
FOR RECOVERY
To recover faster from
heavy exercise, do a light
work out the next day, that
covers the same muscle
group. On this second day,
concentrate on very low
weights, which are about
twenty percent of your lifting
capacity and two quick
sets of twenty-five repetitions.
Your muscles will
heal faster because they
will receive more blood
and nutrients flowing
through them.
All in all, you should be
able to achieve the level
of fitness you want by using
these tips. You can also
utilize this advice in order
to reach higher levels
of fitness that you never
thought you could achieve.
Better health over the longterm
depends on improving
your lifestyle with new, better
habits and activities like
the ones suggested here.
8 USEFUL POINTERS ON ENHANCING YOUR
by
Tess Kimble
Follow Us:
One especially scary aspect of aging
is memory loss. Read this article for
useful tips that will help you enhance
your memory and prevent memory loss.
What would our personal relationships
be like without the
ability to remember? Suffering
from memory loss is not a necessary
evil. The tips provided
below will help you learn how to keep your
memory strong and improve the way your
brain functions.
56 Issue 15 • April 2018

1
KEEP NOTES
If you’re looking for a way to remember
things, writing them down is easy and
effective. This task increases blood flow to
parts of the brain that handle memory, and
it gives it a little workout. Maintaining written
records of key information is a great
way to strengthen your power of recall.
Write sticky notes to help yourself remember
to complete tasks. The notes can then
be placed with your designated spot for
your keys, phone or computer. These notes
can help you remember important things.
2
REFRESH YOUR
ENVIRONMENT
If you need to retain a great deal of information,
you may find it useful to regularly
switch up your study locations. You don’t
want to limit yourself to associating certain
information with certain areas. Instead,
you want to keep your brain fresh. You will
make the information something you will
remember forever if you make a conscious
effort to study in a variety of places.
Use these tips to de-mystify losing weight. The
simplest ways to lose weight are often the
best. Just remember to keep going and not to
get discouraged!

When faced with a major study session,
you can help retention of information by
studying in a new location. Changing surroundings
reinvigorates the mind, and
causes long-term memory to be more efficacious.
Your brain will be more alert and
more receptive to the information when it
is stimulated by a routine change.
3
THINK POSITIVE
Try and rid your mind of any excess
baggage, particularly that involving negative
thoughts, to improve your memory.
Studies show that people who are stressed
or who have negative thoughts suffer more
from memory loss than other people. Your
doctor may be able to recommend relaxation
techniques to improve your stress
levels and outlook.
4
PACK ON BRAIN FOODS
Eat the right foods for the health of your brain and it will reward you with a sharp
and versatile memory. Healthy fats contribute significantly to your brain’s health. These
good fats are found in things like fish, certain nuts, as well as olive oil and flax seed oil.
Find ways to incorporate fish oil into your regular diet. If you find your memory is not what
it used to be, you may not be getting enough Omega-3 fatty acids in your diet. These fatty
acids are available in prescription form or over-the-counter. Most are in capsule form.
58 Issue 15 • April 2018

5
VISUALIZE THE INFORMATION
A strategy that can boost your memory
is to visualize concepts of what you’re
trying to remember so that you can memorize
it and recall it. Professional educators
are well aware of that fact. Consider,
for example, the frequent inclusion of illustrations
and charts in textbooks. These
are included to help the student visualize
the information being presented.
If graphs, images or charts are absent,
create your own.
6
NEVER STOP
LEARNING
It’s vital that you keep learning
on a daily basis long after
you’ve left school. If you
do not acquire new knowledge,
the memory-storing
part of your brain isn’t stimulated.
Unless you keep
your mind sharp, you may
find it more difficult to recall
information when you
need it.
7
MAKE ASSOCIATION FOR NAMES
If you struggle to remember names when meeting new people, try
doing mental association with someone who has the same name. You
can also make the mental association with someone famous. This link
will help to bring up the identity of the new person when it is needed.
8
OUTLINE THE INFORMATION
FOR EASY RECALL
Making an outline of the materials
you are trying to learn is a great way
to boost your retention when you are
studying. The exercise of analyzing and
categorizing the information should
help to secure it in your memory. The
form and length of the outline is up
to you, as long as you include the key
information that you want to remember.
You may get a chuckle over thinking about
the potential of forgetting an anniversary
or birthday, but when it happens to you
in real life, it is not too funny anymore.
This could be the beginning of memory
loss. Use the advice provided here to
protect your vital memories.
1 VITAMIN C
Vitamin C is a substance
that is is extremely
important if you are trying
to prevent hair loss.
Vitamin C plays a major
role in the production of
collagen, a vital ingredient
to keeping hair healthy
and alive. You can increase
your intake of vitamin
C by consuming citrus
fruits or candy drops with
vitamin C.
2
hair loss. It is
important to practice
taking deep breaths
3
REMOVE PRODUCTS BEFORE BED
If you are going to use hair styling
products on your hair, make sure to take
it all out of your hair at nighttime to prevent
hair loss. Keeping these products in
all night allow the chemicals to sink further
into your scalp, which can make your hair
fall out.
4
FIND THE RIGHT SHAMPOO
Find a medicated shampoo or hair
treatment that works for you. There are
several top products on the market. That
doesn’t mean, however, that these products
are going to work for you. It may take a
specialist consultation or a bit of research
or experimentation, but you should find
something that gives you results more so
than everyone else. Everyone is different.
No matter how you lost your hair or what
type of product you’re using to boost its regrowth,
you need to remain positive here
and make sure that you follow all manufacturers’
recommendations to the letter.
Don’t put your eggs all in one basket, but
don’t lose your faith either.
5
INCREASE BIOTIN INTAKE
You may want to increase your
Biotin intake if you want to both treat and
prevent hair loss. This vitamin helps promote
more Keratin, the natural vitamin
found in your hair. This vitamin helps to
keep hair healthy and prevent it from falling
out. Biotin is found in rice, milk, liver,
and barley.
6
TAKE VITAMIN E
Take Vitamin E supplements if you
are suffering from hair loss. Vitamin E promotes
healthy blood circulation, which,
in turn, promotes healthy hair growth. It
will also have the added benefit of keeping
your skin healthy and youthful looking.
7
STIMULATE YOUR SCALP
You need to stimulate the circulation
in your scalp every morning if you’re
hoping to re-grow hair. This doesn’t have
to be a full-on massage. You only need to
run your fingertips across your scalp in a
circular motion for at least three minutes.
This will get the blood flowing and stimulate
hair growth.
Massage your scalp with your fingertips every
night before bed. This massage will increase
the blood flow to your scalp, which
helps provide nutrients to your follicles. If
you massage your scalp for five to ten minutes
every day, you may notice an increase
in the quality of your hair.
8
CASTOR OIL AND ALMOND OIL
A castor oil and almond oil mixture
can help stop hair loss and make new hair
grow in healthier. These natural ingredients
work by making hair follicles stronger
so that they will stay on your scalp.
To properly use this method, just mix the
two oils together and rub it into your scalp
once a week.
9
USE HAIR TREATMENTS
WITH CAUTION
To prevent thinning hair, treat your hair
gently. People who treat their hair with
chemicals frequently over a long period of
time, such as with coloring, perming and
straightening, can cause damage to their
hair that makes it more likely to break,
which makes it thinner. If you do use harsh
treatments on your hair, try to spread them
out over time to minimize the damage.
68 Issue 15 • April 2018

LOOK FOR
SKIN SHEDDING
To better understand the
possible causes of hair
loss, check whether it’s accompanied
by skin shedding.
If you’re experiencing
skin shedding, or scaling, at
the same time as hair loss,
your hair loss may be related
to a skin problem. In
these cases, you should be
able to cure the hair loss by
curing the skin problem.
CONSUME
MORE PROTEIN
Eat protein. Protein adds
an excellent boost to your
diet and helps the way your
hair will look and grow. It
strengthens hair and prevents
it from falling out.
Eat things like fish, meat
and nuts for protein. You
can also use a protein supplement
in your drinks
every day.
TRY USING HONEY
Honey can be a great
natural substance to use on
your scalp to stimulate hair
growth. You do not want to
use a lot of it though. Sugar
can actually cause more of
your hair to fall out. But the
other ingredients in honey
will act as a stimulant
for your scalp. Rub some
in, leave it in for an hour,
and then rinse it out in
TRY NEW ANTIHISTAMINES AT HOME
To be safe, test new antihistamines while at home. It’s best to use them at
home first because a lot of them are filled with ingredients which cause drowsiness.
Even if no harsh warnings are listed on the product packaging, take the first
few doses at a time when you can just lounge on the sofa and don’t have to get
behind the wheel.
If you are an insomnia sufferer and have troubles sleeping, the tips in this article will help you achieve a good
SHOWER BEFORE
GOING TO BED
Wash allergens off with a
shower before bedtime.
Pollen, dust, and mold
spores can sit on your hair
as well as on top of your
skin, which can encourage
allergies in your sleep. As
long as you have a quick
wash, you will have few
problems with allergies.

3
BE CAUTIOUS OF
ALLERGY SYMPTOMS
Sometimes, people are more apt to suffer
from allergies as they age. Babies are often
fed certain types of foods that do not trouble
them with allergies, which can result in
other types of allergies later on. As infants
grow into children, their exposure to protein
allergens increases and they might develop
an allergy to pollen. If your son or daughter
appears to show signs of pollen or spore allergies,
be sure not to disregard the possibility
of an allergic reaction just because there
were no previous signs of a problem.
4
PROTECT YOURSELF
FROM OLIVE TREES
Olive trees are beautiful and add design
elements to your landscape. They are especially
popular in Western states. These
trees produce a lot of pollen. Once you
know what this tree is and looks like, you
can better protect yourself from allergies.
A lot of people find that using water hoses
on trees with a lot of pollen can help tame
the pollen.
5
NEVER SETTLE ON
ONE ALLERGY PRODUCT
If one allergy product does produce the desired
effect, it’s not yet time to throw in the
towel. There are many allergy medications
out there, and different ones work better
with different issues. Some incarnations of
allergy medications include prescriptions
drugs such as leukotriene blockers and
steroids. Over the counter choices include
tablets, eye drops and nasal sprays.
6
FIND NATURAL REMEDIES
FOR YOUR TRIGGERS
There are lots of natural remedies people
can take to help them cope with their
allergies. You will find that a lot of common
allergy triggers have effective natural
remedies associated with them that
you can try. They will reduce a sneezing,
runny nose, and itching and swelling in a
natural way.
7
PACK FOODS
WHEN YOU TRAVEL
If your child has food allergies,
pack safe foods when
traveling. It can sometimes
be hard to know the contents
of particular types of
foods. Not knowing all the
ingredients of some foods
you eat while you travel can
amplify the risk of allergic
reactions to food allergens
such as soy and nuts, as
well as many others.
8
USE SALINE
SPRAY INSTEAD
OF HUMIDIFIERS
Many allergy sufferers may
have been advised to put a
humidifier in their rooms
so that their airways can
be moistened. This might
not be something that you
want to do because the humidifier’s
mist lands on the
carpet and can allow mold
to grow. Instead of that,
try spraying a saline spray
every night before you
go to sleep to keep nasal
passages moist.
9
AVOID HAIR STYLING
PRODUCTS
If possible, avoid using styling
products on your hair during
allergy season. When you go
outside during allergy season,
many allergens will become
embedded in your hair. Hair
products can cause your hair to
collect allergens.
OPT OUT OF USING
CARPETING AND RUGS
Avoid carpeting or using rugs whenever
and wherever possible. Dust and pollen
tend to settle on carpets and rugs. If
you have to have rugs in your home, make
sure that you buy washable rugs and remember
to wash them every couple of
weeks to remove allergens.
AVOID LATEX PRODUCTS
IF YOU’RE ALLERGIC
If you’re allergic to latex, be sure to avoid
products containing it. You may not realize
it, but you must steer clear of condoms,
some clothing, and latex gloves,
among other things. There are alternatives
to many of these items, so ask a
pharmacist for advice on where to find
them. Also, be sure to read labels for latex
warnings that will give you a heads-up.
Once you have control of your allergy
symptoms, you can have an enjoyable
life! You don’t have to suffer with
itchy eyes and a runny nose throughout
all the great moments of your life! Take
the necessary steps to combat your allergy
symptoms so you can finally get the
much needed break that you need.
1
MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
Keeping your weight down, eating
a healthy diet and getting enough exercise
can not only make you feel great every
day, but can also reduce your risk of
cancer. Include bountiful servings of both
fruits and vegetables in your diet, stay
thoroughly hydrated, and workout a daily
half hour to ward off cancer and enhance
your general life and well-being.
If you are active, your chance of being diagnosed
with colon cancer goes down by
about 40%. Physical exercise can contribute
towards a healthier body and can also
decrease the risk of the types of cancer
that are caused by a person being overweight.
Always strive to maintain physical
activity within your life.
Beauty entails many different factors. This article
will help you stay beautiful with simple and easy
tips on creating your customized beauty routine.
PROTECT YOURSELF
FROM THE HARMFUL SUN
Melanoma, or skin cancer, is one very
common and deadly form of cancer.
Always cover your body and face in sunscreen.
Wear a large brimmed hat to protect
the skin on your scalp and face and
wear sunglasses to protect your eyes.
3
BREAK-FREE FROM SMOKING
Immediately stop smoking if your doctor tells you that you have cancer.
Many cancer sufferers make the mistake thinking they don’t have to stop smoking
because they’re already ill. Continuing to smoke still delivers carcinogens to
your already weakened body and works against treatments.
4
WASH FRUITS
AND VEGGIES
BEFORE EATING
Be mindful to the fact that
fruits and vegetables from
the store may not be ready
for immediate consumption,
as they may be tainted.
Most produce is regularly
treated with various pesticides
to protect them from
pests and diseases. Before
consuming fruits and vegetables,
wash them with mild
soap and water to remove
any pesticides or try buying
foods that contain the least
amount of pesticides.
KNOW THE
SYMPTOMS
OF CANCER
Learn the symptoms for all
major types of cancer so
that you know when you
need to see a doctor. If
you go to the doctor when
you first experience symptoms,
you may be able to
get cancer treated before
it has progressed very far.
This improves your chances
for a long and happy life.
Symptoms such as sudden
or rapid weight loss,
bloody stool, thin stools
and abdominal cramping
may point to colon cancer.
If you have any of these
symptoms, get examined
by a doctor.
6
BE AWARE OF
MEDICATION
SIDE EFFECTS
Be aware of certain changes
that may take place as
you undergo cancer therapy.
Ask your doctor to explain
all the side effects
of any medication or other
treatment he prescribes
for your cancer. You may
need to buy a wig, if you
lose hair or wear makeup, if
your complexion becomes
very pale, and it makes
you uncomfortable.
7
COMMUNICATE WITH
YOUR LOVED ONES
Be open and honest with your family and
friends about your diagnosis. If you are
strong and brave, you can feel kind of isolated;
therefore, you should be honest
about your feelings and utilize your support
system. Open communication can provide
a strong bond that will benefit both
you and your loved ones.
8
FIND A GOOD DOCTOR
Do not be afraid to change doctors
if you are unhappy with the care or manner
of your doctor. Your doctor should be
available to you and not rush you or brush
aside your concerns or fears. Your concerns
must be addressed immediately.
9
JOIN A SUPPORT GROUP
Whether you were just diagnosed or have been fighting cancer for a while, a support
group can be a huge help. At a support group, you will be able to speak with other
cancer patients and learn different techniques for coping with the disease. You can usually
take family members with you to this group as well.
Don’t be afraid to fight. Remember what you are fighting for and do not make any concessions
to the disease. If you succumb to cancer, you’re going to lose a costly battle.
Remember that your life literally hangs in the balance.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY
Your personal development will be
more successful if you take proper care
of your body. Achieving your personal development
goals is more likely if you keep
your energy levels high by getting a sufficient
amount of sleep, exercising on a regular
basis, and maintaining a nutritious
diet. It may seem simple, but sometimes
the simplest things in life are actually the
most difficult.
2
GET RID OF YOUR VICES
Do you find yourself consuming alcohol
far too often? Is nicotine or other
destructive habits something that harms
you? Your body should be treated with the
respect it deserves.
One way to improve your life is by getting
rid of any bad habits that you have. Take a
look of how you are living your life and the
habits you have accumulated. Which ones
do you think you could get rid of right now?
3
LEARN TO CALM YOURSELF
Dealing with situations rationally is
a skill that you can learn from others or
teach yourself. Once you learn how to remain
calm in the midst of stress, you’ll
have the confidence needed to cope with
anything that happens in your life. Make
the time to stop and breathe.
4
SHOW RESPECT TO OTHERS
You should always be respectful towards
people, no matter what power they
hold or what they could do for you. The
way you treat them says more about you
than it does about them.
5
HAVE A MOVIE DATE
WITH A FRIEND
If you are anxious about social interactions,
try just going to a movie with a friend.
Movies are social settings, but they do not
require conversation or uncomfortable socialization.
It can also be an effective way
for you to become more comfortable with
being near a large group of people.
6
LEARN TO SACRIFICE FOR OTHERS
Demonstrate altruism to improve
your life. There are times when you may
have to sacrifice something and simply
care for someone else. Inner growth is increased
by sacrificing your own comfort
and turning your focus to the needs of others,
while maintaining your core values.
7
CREATE YOUR LIFE GOALS
AND WORK ON IT
Make a decision about where you want to
go in life and stick with it. You can put all
the thought into it and devise a perfect
plan for life, but if you never put it into action,
then you will not see results. Take action
with the goal of realizing your dreams.
8
BE BRAVE TO TAKE ON RISKS
Ultimate happiness may lie in assuming
a manageable amount of risk. Many
people stay in their comfort zones to avoid
rejection or failure, so they aren’t as happy
or fulfilled. Taking risks requires a lot of
courage, which will help you become happy
in the long run.
9
DON’T FOCUS AND STRESS ON MISTAKES
If you overreact you might be stressed for no reason. Analyze the situation carefully,
and deal with the stress. A mistake isn’t the end of the world. Most mistakes can
be rectified, and many can be remedied in a way that ends up better than if you hadn’t
made a mistake to begin with. Instead of focusing on the things you’ve lost, remind yourself
of everything you have.
LEARN HOW TO
LISTEN TO YOURSELF
It is well known that being a good listener
is an excellent character trait to develop.
Listening definitely applies when developing
yourself. Listen to your thoughts
and learn to recognize your desires. If you
don’t, you will not know what you need,
nor will you improve yourself.
PRACTICE WHAT YOU BELIEVE
The principles you believe in need
to be put into practice. Everyone has values
and beliefs in which they hold dear.
When your core beliefs are well-founded,
your self-esteem improves. This also
helps to make you a consistent person.
This is an essential character trait.
To get the most from your personal development
efforts, be sure to aim high
and value what is best. Make reaching
your goals one of the most important aspects
of your life. Give some of these tips
a chance and if you notice any change in
feelings or your thoughts make a note
about it. Refrain from being too hard
on yourself.
Many people are able to analyze their feelings and then
subjective and do not have ultimate reign over your life. Give
yourself a positive mantra and repeat it until you feel it start
positive thoughts. Know that you will get through it and concentrate
on keeping your control.
2
TRY BREATHING AND
RELAXATION TECHNIQUES
If you are having trouble dealing
with your panic attacks and do not
know what to do, try to learn proper
breathing and relaxation techniques.
Dealing with panic attacks
is possible when you figure out how
to control your breathing. Although
controlling panic attacks can be
difficult, learning breathing techniques
can make the difference.
Make sure you control your breathing
because this will help make the
attack end sooner. To gain control
while you are having an attack, take
deep breaths.
3
STOP THINKING ABOUT
YOUR PANIC ATTACKS
Many times, the feelings of having a panic
attack are what bring on a panic attack.
Stop thinking about the sources of your
attacks and about the dreaded worry.
Your thoughts are powerful, and if you
keep thinking about panic attacks, you
may bring one on. These thoughts are
similar to trying to get a song out of your
head. The more you think about something,
the harder it is to rid yourself of
those types of thoughts.
4
KEEP TRACK OF YOUR TRIGGERS
Always be aware of your feelings
and emotions, so you can be alerted to the
onset of a panic attack and stop it in its
tracks. Monitor your thoughts and feelings
leading up to an attack and record them in
writing. Take note of these feelings once a
week, so you know what starts your panic
attacks and how to steer clear of them.
5
HAVE YOUR
SUPPORT SYSTEM
If you sense an impending
panic attack, try and
find somebody to talk to,
if at all possible. Talking
to someone that cares
about you will help fight
the stress and anxiety. You
will gain even more benefits
if someone will hug
you. Human touch can be
all it takes to make you
feel comforted and secure.
Be careful not to isolate
yourself as this can increase
your feelings of
stress and anxiety. Having
supportive people to help
you with your anxiety will
make it much easier to control
your panic attacks. That
is why having friends is
so important.
6
PRACTICE DEALING
WITH PANIC ATTACKS
It is important to practice
techniques for dealing with
panic attacks before you
are actually experiencing
one. Practicing a relaxing
exercise when you do not
feel stressed will help you
focus on relaxing when you
are experiencing an attack.
Practice on your breathing
techniques as well.
7
START SHARING
WHAT YOU KNOW
Share your panic-attack
knowledge with others
through writing. Create a
blog, pen an e-book, or even
become a public speaker
and hold seminars. You
can overcome your panic
attacks through this sense
of achievement.
FOR PANIC ATTACKS
attacks. Find new techniques for tackling
your panic attacks by joining a support
there is a nearby support group for panic
attack sufferers. Chatting with others that
have similar problems can provide valuable
information that you can use, and
also give you a chance to find emotional
support from others who suffer from
panic attacks.
9
ENCOURAGE KIDS TO
EXPRESS WHAT THEY FEEL
A child with severe issues related to stress
requires attention. They could be bothered
by something that is happening, and the
panic attack can be this problem manifesting
itself because they don’t feel like they
can express it. Make sure your child feels
free to express emotions with you honestly
and openly.
If you are suffering from panic attacks, it
does not mean that you have some intrinsic
flaw, or that you are weak. Living with
panic attacks actually takes a great deal of
strength. By implementing the advice offered
in this article, you will be better able
to cope the next time you feel the panic
EAT BREAKFAST EVERYDAY
Breakfast is the most important meal
of the day, especially if you want to lose
weight. When you wake up early and eat
a full breakfast you allow your digestive
system to wake up and start metabolizing
food. This lets your body burn calories
from the beginning of the day rather than
from lunchtime onward.
2
AVOID EATING AT
UNHEALTHY RESTAURANTS
A good way to lose weight is to avoid eating
out at unhealthy restaurants, especially
all you can eat buffets. All you can eat
buffets encourage you to eat as much as
you can in one sitting, and that’s a surefire
way to put on a lot of fat.
3
TAKE UP A SPORT
If you want to become more fit, take
up a sport that you find enjoyable. Playing
a competitive sport will help make your
workout seem more fun. Also, if you have
a team that’s counting on you every week,
you’re more likely to go even when you’re
tired than if you were doing a solitary
workout.
4
AVOID EATING LATE AT NIGHT
Avoiding food late at night will help
you lose weight in a hurry. Late-night
snacking can really pack on the pounds. If
you can cut out those midnight snacks and
late-night dinners, you can begin to shed
those pounds quickly.
5
TOSS THOSE HIGH CALORIE FOODS
Go ahead and throw out those high
calorie foods. It might feel wasteful, but
if you are serious about losing weight it
might be a good idea to hurry and get rid
of any foods that might tempt you to stray
from your diet. Clean out your fridge and
pantries to make room for healthier foods.
If you are out at a restaurant with a friend
and you have the urge to order a dessert,
you can ask your friend if they would like to
split one with you. Having a half of a dessert
will be a nice treat, and you will only
consume half of the calories.
6
DEAL WITH STRESS IN
A HEALTHY WAY
In order to successfully lose weight, it is
crucial that you find a healthy way to deal
with stress. In today’s modern world, everyone
experiences stress. Overweight people
usually turn to food as a way to comfort
themselves during stressful times. By finding
alternative ways to deal with stress,
such as, meditation, listening to music,
playing an instrument, taking a hot bath,
or reading a book, you can ensure that you
don’t break your diet.
7
KEEP A FOOD DIARY
In order to increase your chances
of success at weight loss, consider keeping
a food diary. By keeping track of what
you eat and when, you are better able to
see food consumption habits and trends
that could be potentially sabotaging your
efforts. Additionally, by knowing that you
will be recording everything you eat, you
make yourself accountable for every food
choice. This accountability can have a very
powerful motivating effect on your weight
loss efforts.
8
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF CAFFEINE
Utilizing caffeine can aid in your
weight loss goals. Caffeine is a natural
substance found in coffee and various
supplements. Not only can it help boost
your metabolism, it can fuel you for your
workouts and reduce your pain threshold
for workouts which allows you to increase
your intensity. Make sure to drink your
coffee black or with skim milk to maximize
its properties.
9
MAKE SMALL CHANGES
TO BURN CALORIES
An easy way to add to your weight loss efforts
is to make small changes. This could
be walking up the stairs instead of riding in
the elevator, or parking farther out in the
parking lot instead of fighting for a spot
right in front of the building. Little tweaks
like this can burn more calories and help
you lose weight.
EAT MORE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
An easier way to create a diet for losing weight is to think of what to add to your
diet rather than what to remove. Try to eat 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables a day.
This will give you lots of needed vitamins and minerals, as well as filling you up so you
can’t eat as much junk.
Use these tips to de-mystify losing weight. The simplest ways to lose weight are often the
best. Just remember to keep going and not to get discouraged when you don’t see the
results on the scale that you want to see. Make sure you stay committed and you WILL
start losing the weight.
If you really want to improve
your personality and your
life in general, these personality
development tips can
be of great help in achieving
your goal.
1 ALWAYS
MAKE DIETARY
CHANGES SLOWLY
Try not to do a complete
overhaul overnight. You
also don’t want to provide
yourself with too much of a
shock by eating foods that
you may not even like. Add
healthier items and remove
unhealthy items from your
diet slowly until you’ve got
a healthier diet.
2
HAVE A PROTEIN
BAR HANDY
It’s a smart idea to always
have some protein bars or
similar concentrated food
in your computer bag if
you travel a great deal. You
might already know that actual
meals are difficult to
find in airports. You may be
tied up in security, waiting
for your flight or flying on
a plane that does not serve
meals. Keep a few bars with
you just in case you get hungry
or need some energy.
3
EAT A VARIETY OF PROTEIN IN A WEEK
Mix up the meats that you eat to include fish and poultry. Eggs are a wonderful
source of protein. Researchers say a single egg daily isn’t harmful to health. Sometimes,
you will want to refrain from eating meat on a particular day. Replace meat with nuts,
seeds, peas, beans or peanut butter.
4
NEVER SKIP BREAKFAST
When assembling a diet plan that includes
the right amount of calories and
proper nutrition, it is critical that you include
breakfast every day. Breakfast certainly
is an important meal. It provides
your metabolism with the boost it needs
to start the day.
5
LOAD UP ON INULIN
Make sure to add a naturally-occurring
nutrient known as inulin to your diet.
You can get this nutrient from artichokes
and garlic. It’s a carb that helps you lose
weight and keep your digestion in check.
Garlic also has a positive impact on your
immune system. You can always blanch
garlic to reduce its smell if you’re worried
about your breath, or you can take a
non-odorous garlic supplement.
6
SUBSTITUTE GROUND BEEF WITH TURKEY
Replacing ground beef with turkey has numerous health benefits, but some are put
off by the turkey’s dryness. To solve this problem, make the turkey juicier by preparing
it with onions and extra-virgin olive oil. The flavor will be more tasty and you will consume
less fat.
7
GO FOR BAKED, NOT FRIED!
Make sure your diet consists of eating foods that are baked instead of fried. Baked
goods have fewer calories, less oil and are lighter in carbohydrates than fried goods.
Eating baked foods everyday will also provide your body with more energy.
8
AVOID USING OIL
Saute your vegetables in a small amount of water instead of artery blocking oil.
Vegetables prepared by boiling or steaming are just as tasty as their fried counterparts.
If you must use oil in your vegetables, use either vegetable oil or olive oil.
9
COOK YOUR
MUSHROOMS PROPERLY
When preparing mushrooms, always make
sure they are adequately cooked. Cooking
them very well will help break down some
of the carcinogens. These natural toxins
could otherwise be harmful to your health.
You need to watch your health. This will
make it easier to burn fat.
MORE SLEEP AND LESS ALCOHOL
Every day, get plenty of sleep and
reduce your alcohol intake. Alcohol increases
oil production on your face and enlarges
your pores. Larger pores allow more
dirt to accumulate and can cause infection.
It is important to sleep at least seven hours
daily and drink no more than one alcoholic
drink a day.
PREP YOUR FOOD
THE HEALTHY WAY
A change in meal preparation methods can
have a great effect on the body’s nutrition.
Steaming or boiling foods will cook them
without adding any extra fat. By choosing
healthier methods of preparing food, one
can ensure good nutrition.
EAT SMALLER
MEALS FREQUENTLY
These smaller meals, while easier on the digestive
process, also help control your weight
as you typically burn off more calories than
you are taking in. Your risk of diabetes, hypertension,
and other diseases are reduced if
you are at a healthy weight. Eating frequently
can help you avoid getting too hungry so that
you do not binge on bad foods.
You must always stay up to date with your
nutritional education. The hints above are
just the beginning of your long-term journey
into learning how to eat healthy. Find
more information, so you can feed your
body and mind.
SMOOTH TAN
Exfoliation is the first step in applying
self-tanner. This will help to create a
smooth and more defined appearance.
This will allow the faux tan to appear even
and streak-free. This will authenticate
your golden glow and even make it last
much longer.
2
MORE EXPRESSIVE EYES
An eyelash curler is worth the money.
Lots of people forget the difference an
eyelash curler can make. Using an eyelash
curler will help make your eyes appear bigger
3
SHINY EYEBROWS
Before going to bed,
spread some Vaseline over
your eyebrows. Your eyebrows
will have a shiny
and improved appearance.
Be careful not to
spread Vaseline elsewhere
on your face to avoid
acne breakouts.
4
GLOWING LIPS
In order to enhance
the appearance of your lips,
use shimmery white eyeshadow
on the center of the
top lip. The applied white
eyeshadow will improve the
reflection off of your lip.
This will also give you the
glow that you desire.
5
FRESH FACE
If you plan on going
out for fun right after work,
use a brush to dust matte
powder on your face to get
rid of oil. You can make your
cheekbones have some emphasis
with a gentle application
of shimmery powder
on your cheek temples.
Doing so will give you a
fresh and sharp facial look.
6
FACE ENHANCING
HAIRSTYLE
The right type of haircut
can make a face look slimmer.
Choose a cut with
sleek, elongated lines, with
the longest layers reaching
somewhere between your
jawline and shoulders. Use
low-lights and highlights as
appropriate to frame your
face. These will look good
and will make your face
more attractive.
NAIL TEAR FIX
When your fingernail tears, use a teabag
to repair it. First, empty a teabag of
its leaves. Then, cut a piece of the teabag
that is the size of the tear. Simply, place
your patch over the tear and coat the entire
nail, including the patch, with nail
strengthener or clear nail polish.
8
LONGER AND STRONGER NAILS
To get those nice long fingernails,
use Vaseline to massage into your cuticles
each week. By feeding the nail in this fashion,
you are encouraging nail growth. Use
a top coat when you polish your nails to
prevent chipping.
9
HEALTHY-LOOKING HAIR
As a man who enjoys looking good,
you are sure to be concerned with the appearance
of your hair. If your hair is dry, be
sure to use a good, nourishing conditioner.
There is also some handy hair conditioning
sprays that you can use for a quick fix of
your dry hair.
COOLING BEAUTY
Keep some of your beauty products
in the refrigerator. You definitely want to
do this in summertime! Keeping toners, lotions
and oils refrigerated can allow you to
use them even in a heatwave. The cooling
sensation is sure to leave your skin feeling
refreshed and chilled.
LONG-LASTING NAIL POLISHES
If you notice one of your nail polishes
starting to get sticky and thick, you can
put some nail polish remover in it. Only
add a tiny bit, replace the lid and shake.
This helps add a few additional applications
for your nail polish.
CONCEALER HELPINGS
Short on concealer? Use the foundation
stuck in the threads of your makeup
cap. When you are out of regular concealer,
the collected foundation in the cap
serves as a great replacement. This makeup
is thick so it will act as a concealer to
cover any blemishes.
PINEAPPLES FOR LOSING WEIGHT
When trying to lose some weight,
an excellent food to add to your diet is a
pineapple. This fruit is sweet and delicious,
and the large amount of bromelain it contains
makes it great for dieters. This nutrient
helps your body digest fat, starch and
protein. Therefore, you should consume
a lot of pineapples to help your digestion
and improve your metabolism.
GOING CAFFEINE-FREE
Try and stay away from caffeine
if you want to improve your beauty.
Caffeine can age you, make you look
tired, and make you feel jittery. Limit
tea and coffee to one cup a day. Think
about alternatives to your usual drinks,
such as green tea or decaf coffee.
Hopefully, you have learned a few simple
beauty tips that can help you to look your
best. After reading these tips, you should
now have an understanding of how to
create a beauty regimen that will work
for you. More importantly, keep in mind
that real beauty is a result of taking care
of your body on a daily basis. And by being
yourself - because you are beautiful!
