Products containing less than 5 g of fat show<br />

amounts rounded to the nearest 0.5 g. Amounts<br />

less than 0.5 g are rounded to 0 g. For example,<br />

if a product contains 0.45 g of trans fat per serving,<br />

and the package contains 18 servings, the<br />

label would show 0 g of trans fat, even though<br />

the product actually contains a total of 8.1 g of<br />

trans fat.<br />

In addition to the nutrition label, products may<br />

display certain nutrition information or health<br />

claims on packaging. These health claims are<br />

only allowed by the FDA for "eight diet and<br />

health relationships based on proven scientific<br />

evidence", including: calcium and osteoporosis,<br />

fiber-containing grain products, fruits and vegetables<br />

and cancer, fruits, vegetables, and grain<br />

products that contain fiber—particularly soluble<br />

fiber—and the risk of coronary heart disease, fat<br />

and cancer, saturated fat and cholesterol and<br />

coronary heart disease, sodium and hypertension,<br />

and folate and neural tube defects. [24] The<br />

Institute of Medicine recommended these labels<br />

contain the most useful nutritional information<br />

for consumers: saturated fats, trans fats, sodium,<br />

2011, food manufacturers and grocery stores<br />

announced plans to display some of this nutrition<br />

information on processed food. [26]<br />

The nutrition facts label currently appears on<br />

more than 6.5 billion food packages. President<br />

Bill Clinton issued an award of design excellence<br />

In recent decades, social isolation has been recognised<br />

as a major risk to our health and longevity. It’s<br />

twice as bad for you as being obese and nearly as<br />

bad as smoking. The rising number of people who<br />

say they are affected, across a wide range of ages, is<br />

startling. Yet obvious mechanisms – such as selfneglect<br />

– do not explain the full health toll. So what<br />

else is going on?<br />

womb? Even these may forget, but<br />

I will not forget you”.<br />

To answer this question it is worth noting that you can<br />

suffer the ill effects of loneliness even if you are not<br />

Tracking large groups over time indicates that perceived<br />

social isolation carries its own risk for morbidity<br />

and mortality, independent of actual social isolation.<br />

1. Meditation :<br />

I had been away from a regular<br />

meditation practice for a long time. A psychologist<br />

friend suggested I get back into a regular<br />

practice. I started doing 3 sessions per week, 30<br />

minutes each session. That’s all I could handle at<br />

the time. However, that small amount made a<br />

huge difference. It took about 6 weeks, but I started<br />

feeling better – mentally and physically. Once I<br />

started feeling better, I added more sessions to<br />

my week.<br />

2. Eat Whole Food :<br />

I got rid of as much processed food as possible.<br />

Mass-produced, packaged food is not actual food<br />

- it’s not giving you the nutrients you need, and<br />

you’re not functioning properly. Ever suffer from<br />

brain fog, low energy, that out-of-it feeling? If<br />

you’re eating a ton of processed food – that’s<br />

why. Processed food is a major contributor to<br />

chronic diseases – get rid of it. Look for natural or<br />

minimally processed foods – and get rid of refined<br />
