New Managing Director at Wittenstein motion control GmbH and<br />

Wittenstein aerospace & simulation GmbH<br />

Kasper Rungfeldt, a qualified lawyer and a business administrator, with extensive experience<br />

in oil & gas industry as well as in defense has been appointed Managing Director of<br />

Wittenstein motion control GmbH and Wittenstein aerospace & simulation GmbH. In the<br />

past, he has held various executive positions at organizations like Siemens and ABB for<br />

european and non-european locations as well. “We are confident of Mr. Rungfeldt’s ability to<br />

make a crucial contribution as we convert existing potential into long-term success in the<br />

international markets”, said the board spokesman for Wittenstein SE, Dr. Bernd Schimpf. After<br />

more than 10 years of service, Christoph Heine, the existing Managing Director of Wittenstein motion control<br />

GmbH and Wittenstein aerospace & simulation GmbH, will be leaving the company at his own request on June 1,<br />

<strong>2018</strong>. He will be joining Staufen AG, where he will take on the task of Industry Manager, Aviation & Defense.<br />

ContiTech invests<br />

to expand its facility<br />

in Hungary<br />

Over the past 18 months Continental<br />

has invested around € 20 million<br />

for its new production location at<br />

Nyíregyháza, Hungary. The plant<br />

now has a second rubber mixing<br />

line, a new semi-finished production<br />

facility for air bellows and a<br />

production line for hoses destined<br />

for heating and cooling applications<br />

in cars. The new logistics<br />

center which will supply the other<br />

mixing line is currently starting its<br />

test mode. Hose production has<br />

already started, with capacity<br />

expected to double by the end of<br />

this year. The shared 4,500 m 2<br />

warehouse – which will store both<br />

hoses and air bellows – is also on<br />

course for completion by spring.<br />

The Hungarian government has<br />

also invested over € 6 million to<br />

support the expansion and created<br />

more than 200 additional jobs. In<br />

total, ContiTech now has around<br />

500 employees in Nyíregyháza.<br />
