Record number of team entries make City2Surf<br />

THE 44TH <strong>Star</strong> Media<br />

City2Surf attracted a record<br />

number of team entries within<br />

the 10,000 strong turnout on<br />

Sunday.<br />

One hundred and seventy<br />

teams took part – 40 more than<br />

last year.<br />

Event manager Vanessa<br />

Fleming said the combination of<br />

perfect weather and enthusiastic<br />

runners and walkers made the<br />

day a fantastic success.<br />

Fendalton’s Indermohan<br />

Kaur was the lucky entrant who<br />

won the return flight for two to<br />

London courtesy of Singapore<br />

Airlines.<br />

She was running with the<br />

Placemakers team in the 6km<br />

event.<br />

<strong>Star</strong> Media chief executive<br />

Steve McCaughan said it was<br />

fantastic to see a great event<br />

enjoyed by all.<br />

“I would like to give a big<br />

who made it possible, but<br />

especially to all the <strong>Star</strong> Media<br />

team who worked tirelessly to<br />

make the event a success. I am<br />

very proud of their efforts,” he<br />

said.<br />
