Leeston Fete

and Promotions. Now in its
eighth year, the Leeston Fete is
going to be bigger, brighter and
better than previous years. This
year the committee is excited
to launch a new area called the
Secret Garden. The date for the
fete has been brought forward so
the day no longer clashes with
winter sports trials. A lot of stalls
from previous years are returning
and with the fete’s popularity
growing, it has already received
registrations from approximately
20 first-time stalls. The event
will again have the popular,
dedicated children’s area but you
will notice a few improvements
there as well. The entertainment
area has moved so people will
be able to relax on the grass area
under the shade of the trees.
With the main street closed to
traffic, there is the freedom to allow
people to meander, admiring
the variety of goods on display.
The free entry and wide variety
of food stalls means that the fete
is a great family day out.

day of entertainment, lots of
free and subsidised activities for

stallholders, and good food. The
event includes food and beverages,

coffee, arts and crafts, plants and
outdoor accessories, books, raffles,
bouncy castles, homewares
and entertainment. Entry is $5
per person, with under 12s free
(when accompanied by an adult).
