2.2 Conclusions
In conclusion of the in-depth analysis and the
application of the SWOT structure to evaluate
the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities
and threats which the economic area Tirana-
Durres faces, certain important indicators
emerge, which will be used in the further steps
of drafting the ICSP Tirana-Durres.
Challenges
In order to achieve a sustainable territorial
development, Tirana-Durres region has to face
a number of challenges, which are:
- global economy and regional
competitiveness;
- integration of informal settlements;
- urban regeneration and housing;
- mobility and transport;
- technological gap overcoming;
- digital infrastructure;
- environmental condition and waste
management;
